Welcome to Mashed Up Origins!
This is an experiment of mine that I was going to make into a group, but with the chaos that a group can bring I decided to go it alone. It’s short, sweet and basically a quick origin where one hero gets anothers origin, something to make you go “I’d like to see that!”

Curt Connors could feel the hurt even before he opened his eyes. And as soon as his eyes opened the wave of agony hit. The monitors beside his bed spiked and a team of nurses and doctors were by his side as he convulsed and roared in pain.
“Mr Connors! Mr Connors! You need to calm down!” stated one of the orderlies as the team went into effect. Curt screamed and thrashed like a caught shark, which was remarkable for a man with no arms and a half mauled leg.

Curt sat in the wheelchair listening to Dr Elias Wirtham as he explained the injuries he’d incurred and the treatment for them. The words were like water off a ducks back; he was there when it happened. He was the one who was mauled by Otto Octavius. His good arm was gone, one leg was borderline useless, his face a web of scars with vision is one eye halved. Octavius had tried to eat him.
“Any questions?”
Curt coughed and stared right into Dr Wirtham’s eyes “Where is he?”

Martha Connors pushed Curt into the lab where Otto Octavius had once worked. It was now all Curt’s in a settlement worked out by the State. It didn’t bring back his arm, or leg, or his life’s work but it was the only real asset Otto had.
“This is…nice,” Martha said unsure of what she was actually looking at.
“It’s a tip!” snarled an unimpressed Curt.
“Mom! Dad! Come look at this!” Billy’s voice echoed from the other end of the lab. Martha pushed her husband over to find their young son with a weird contraption strapped to his waist.
“Look, I’m Bonesaw!” yelled Billy pretending to be the professional wrestler.
Curt’s eyes widened at the harness “Take it off.”
“But dad!”
“NOW!” snapped Martha at Billy and he reluctantly did as he asked.

Curt Connors stood in the middle of the lab; the arms of the harness following his mental commands sending the extendable tendrils back and forth across the room. Wilbur Day and Carl Klaxton watched with glee as their additions to the suit let Curt walk. The implications for mining, surgery even space and military were limitless.
“Good job with the Octopus sir,” said Wilbur.
“It’s a better name than Stilt-Man,” sneered Carl roughly elbowing Wilbur in the ribs.
Curt smiled through the suit as he walked around the room. His mind raced with the possibilities, the one at the forefront though was catching Otto Octavius and skinning the bastard Lizard alive!
