Los Angeles, Iron Hall
As the flames surrounded the building reinforcements from the nearest Iron halls arrived along with fire fighters in an attempt to put a stop to the siege. The Absorbing Man gave the first soldiers to reach the roof a grin before the fire trucks surrounding the building exploded. Suddenly the comms went off. A young soldier yelled, "The building defenses are firing on us!"
The soldiers scrambled to avoid the line of fire and reach the building but the flames around it seemed to reach out and grab them. The heat was intense enough to cut straight through the armor leading to a horrifying for the people below as it began to rain molten metal and body parts. Arson looked over to Creel, "I ain't had this much fun in years." Creel chuckled.
In the lobby the bulk of the troops inside the Iron hall did their best to contain Callous but the brute was relentless. He tore the armored men apart as if they were paper and laughed at their repulser fire. Even the Hunter class armor was nothing to him. He roared at them, "Bring me a challenge you worthless meat." A voice came from behind him, "We'll see what we can do about that freak."
He turned and smiled at the two soldiers in Hulk buster class armor and charged. One blasted him and sent him slamming into the floor as the other moved in and attempted to stomp him. Callous caught the foot and gave a grunt as he pushed it away. He then jumped up and drove the bone spike on his elbow crashing down stabbing through the shoulder section of the armor and shattering the soldier's collar bone. He then brought up his knee and pierced through the chest plate impaling the man through the heart. He then ran for the second, dodging the repulser fire to rip off the helmet and crush the skull of the man inside.
After disabling the buildings sprinklers system to ensure it burned to the ground when the time was right Shift made his way around the ventilation shafts and suffocating Iron soldiers and various panicked employees he happened by.
Lash and Murmur had made their way into the sub basement, The soldiers there had been ordered to stay at their posts no matter what, this place was completely safe from the flames above so they felt they were safe until they saw the large man walking down the hall.
The soldiers ordered in near unison, "Halt or we shoot."
Lash gave them a nod before shooting his tendrils through the heads of the nearest two instantly killing them. He then pulled them back and gave them an electric charge and used them like bull whips on the remaining soldiers. The first to take a hit was cut split from skull to crotch sending the rest running the opposite direction. He caught one by the leg and dragged him back and drove his foot down on his head. Murmur gave him an impressed look for this as they got to the door they were looking for. Lash kicked it off its hinges and casually waved Murmur in. The two men inside were no soldiers, simply IT techs who kept the systems running.
Murmur looked over to the frightened men and said, "Don't worry boys, we're just here so you can give us some security codes."
One of the men instantly relaxed, "Which ones ma'am?"
She smiled brightly, "All of the codes that can be accessed from your system hun."
Back on the top floor Zemo held his bomb out for the room to see and spoke to Cutthroat, "Mr. Cain it seems your part in this will have to wait."
Scalphunter looked at the bomb, "So basically if he dies, the world goes bye bye?"
"Yes, moron now drop the damn gun." Helfitta demanded.
Scalphunter smiled, "Well may as well go out with a bang. Do you think they'll let me kill people in Heaven?"
Helfitta shot Scalphunter in the hand as he fired causing him to miss Zemo and shouted, "The next ten go in your starking mouth if you try that again."
Scalphunter gruffly kicked at the carpet, "You really suck some times Falcon."
Zemo gave the General a respectful nod as Lash commed in, "We got what we came for."
Zemo then looked to Cutthroat as the bay doors of their transport crashed through the wall, "Time to go."
As the transport left Zemo looked to Scalphunter and tossed him the nega bomb before turning to Arson, "Bring it down."
Scalphunter sniffed the air and then looked down at the bomb as Helfitta stared nevously. He noticed a small tab at the bottom and pulled out a cylinder. Helfitta's eyes went wide for a moment but Scalphunter began laughing hysterically.
A soldier spoke up, "General we gotta go."
Helfitta kept his gaze on Scalphunter and demanded, "What's so damned funny."
Scalphunter tossed Helfitta the cylinder and as he looked at it he noticed a label that read, 'Pine Forrest Fresh' He scowled, "I was just held hostage with god damned air freshener?!"
A soldier behind the General let out a small giggle causing the General to shoot him in the chest asking, "Anyone else find this funny?"
The men were silent but Scalphunter shouted, "I do."
Helfitta shot him in the knee cap as he ordered a soldier to take him out of the building. Scalphunter cursed as he activated his personal teleportation device and seconds later stood on a building across the street and watched the Iron Hall collapse in a massive burst of fire as The rest of Zemo's team escaped into the sewer system.
