7 and Mo-zar had been searching for over a week for signs of civilization but found nothing but the remnants of once proud cultures reduced to feral animals. Eventually 7 demanded that they give up and head toward the lab Mo-Zar spoke of. Mo-Zar was upset by this, refusing to admit he was the last human inhabitant of his home.
He eventually agreed and the two marched toward the center of the Savage land. Mo-Zar encouraged caution here due to the high population of Carcharodons in this area. Even the Tyrannosaurs avoided the place. One night they came across a cave and made camp. As they made dinner 7 looked to Mo-Zar, "I'm rusty on my dinosaur knowledge what exactly are we in for?"
Mo-Zar grabbed a hunk of meat, " The carcharodons are bigger than the T-rexes by quite a bit, and a bit more aggressive. The outsiders who built the lab gathered them around here for added security which wasn't great for those living here but made life a tad easier for those of us living in most of the land."
7 sighed, "It'd be easier if the lab's location was a bit more clear on the map."
Mo-Zar chuckled, "Something tells me it wasn't intended to be an easy place to reach."
7 gave him annoyed look as he tore off a hunk of meat.
Five days later they'd made their way deep into an area off the map, thus far they'd made it through without incident but 7 had become wary today. He could feel something was wrong in his gut but wasn't quite sure what until they came upon a small ancient village that seemed to have been abandoned hundreds, if not thousands of years ago but somehow in the heart of the place there was a large poll with a bright light shining from the top. The two stopped to get a good look of the area before going to investigate. Seeing nothing they went forward.
The instant they stepped into the light the poll emitted a shriek and pumped something into the air that 7 could smell but Mo-Zar couldn't, "What do carcharodons eat?"
Mo-Zar looked over to him, "Anything they can find but mostly camptosaurs, why?"
7 replied, "We're probably in trouble, can't say for sure but the poll is pumping a scent in the air my bet is its something that'll get the big ones to come running."
The ground started shaking around them. They stood looking around for a moment until the first of the massive carcharodons burst into the village. The two broke into a run as more of the creatures came in. They gave chase but fought among themselves to be the first in line. The two ran at top speed as long as they could before Mo-Zar dropped from sheer exhaustion.
Mo-Zar looked up to 7,"Go on without me."
7 rolled his eyes and bent down, "Its not that .......Is That Russian?"
They looked on to a small hatch with writing in several different languages and Doom's royal seal on it. 7 drove his adamantium blade into it and quickly cut it open and they crawled in. They found themselves in a waste disposal room. They waded through to get to a door that let them into the maintenance section of the lab. 7 grabbed a tool box and they went on to the main section. The lab workers were all dead leaving behind a lingering smell that was hard to tolerate but they managed.
They then entered into a large room where they saw a communication center next to a large device with a blue button on it. Suddenly the comm device comes on and the voice of the Traveler comes through, "Hey 7, you at the Lab?"
7 picked up the mic and answered,"Umm, yea. Why?"
The Traveler then gave him some instructions which 7 followed. As he pressed the button there was a bright light followed by the appearance of an army of Creeds and Insectoid soldiers.
7 and Mo-Zar looked on nervously.
