Marvel Genesis: Wolfpack- Prologue
December, 2008
Agent Wendell Vaughn of HAMMER sits down in front of a massive super computer. A video with Dum Dum Dugan’s face pops up, “Wendell, I am putting you in charge of training the next generation of HAMMER super-operatives. This list to your left holds all the files of appropriate teenagers to be picked for the program. If you fail to produce good agents you will be reduced to the secretary of the janitorial staff. How would that be for a Christmas present?” Vaughn had enough of his boss and turns the video off, and Vaughn started searching through all of the files.
After four hours he had found his team. He stood up and walked into a meeting room filled with a few senior members of HAMMER and Director Dugan. On a large screen he put up several pictures.
"Good morning Gentlemen, I was tasked by Director Dugan to create a team of junior prospects of HAMMER operatives. My team is made up of unique kids that have the potential to become future weapons of HAMMER..." Vaughn takes a breath and turns to the screen, "First up, we have...
Christopher Colchiss
Powers: Ability to mentally agitate molecules in solid matter that it causes them to lose cohesion
Bio: Chris Colchiss’s parents were amazing scientists who studied in the field of radioactivity. While Chris Colchiss was just an infant, his parents accidentally spilled radioactive fluids on him. The doctors his parents went to did tests and there was nothing wrong with him, but the fluids, apparently, sped up his genetic process and kick-started his mutant abilities at an extremely young age. The first sign of Chris using his powers was when he melted his mother while she was changing his diaper. After this his father became distant from Chris and even abusive. The trouble with his powers followed him into his teenage years when the next reported case of him melting another person was when he melted a bully in school right before he got punched. Over the last five years he has been in multiple group homes for troubled teens. He is now residing in Riker’s Island, in a comatose stasis, after being used by the Maggia to kill the DA of New York.
Christopher Powell
Powers: Has a suit that; Produces Energy Shields and Blasts, Flight, Night vision, Cable Claws, Accelerated healing factor and Super Strength
Bio: When HAMMER went to inspect a UFO crash, we found the ship was a bullet-shaped box. The box was open and the item was already gone. After searching through the nearby towns we found Chris Powell. When being interviewed by HAMMER he said he had found the amulet at the crash site and it attached itself to his chest. He was able to willingly transform into the suit and show us his powers. When offered to train with HAMMER he initially declined. HAMMER kept Chris for testing and found a way to remotely use Powell’s alien amulet but they were unable to separate Powell from the amulet. HAMMER has Christopher in a semi-comatose state and is remotely using the suit on missions with the Wolfpack and other covert missions.
Dwayne Taylor
Powers: Skilled Martial artist, and Advanced Armor
Bio: Dwayne Taylor’s life has always been filled with sorrow. His parents were killed and his brother, Donyell, was kidnapped by a burglar when he was only five years old. He had lost his families family company called the Taylor foundation and the family fortune was put away until age eighteen. He was adopted by a family friend named Andrew Chord and was raised with his son and daughter; Aaron, and Silhouette. Aaron and Dwayne got into the gang life at age ten. At the age of fourteen, his adopted family was murdered by a rival gang. What attracted HAMMER to Dwayne was that in his anger, he created a wrist-mounted bow and arrows that hold lethal charges of electricity in them. He did this in only two hours. He was recruited by HAMMER when the story came out that he was arrested for the murder of the gang members who killed his family.
Roger Brokeridge
Powers: Ability to create a variety of energy balls, normally originating from his hand, including "hard energy" and electro-magnetic energy
Bio: Brokeridge went to the super-villain, Power Broker, to gain abilities so he could pay for the expensive medicines and treatments that his sickly brother needed. He robbed several banks using his powers before HAMMER could stop him. He was told his brother would be taken care of if he joined the Wolfpack.
Namorita Prentiss
Powers: Aquatic adaptation, Super strength, High speed swimming, Atmospheric flight, Touch can create burning acid or paralytic toxin, Can change skin pigmentation
Bio: Not much is known about Namorita Prentiss’s life. She claims to be from the ancient city of Atlantis. Namorita got onto HAMMER’s radar one night, while walking through New York City and a group of men tried to rob and rape her. She surprised them by turning her skin pigmentation from white to her natural Atlantean blue. She proceeded to beat the s*** out of her would-be attackers. Afterwards, HAMMER agents immediately picked her up and made her the offer to join the Wolfpack, and she accepted.
Hector Ayala Jr., Angela Del Toro, and Kasper Cole
Powers: Amulets that give them; superhuman strength, speed, coordination, agility, stamina, reflexes, resilience, and healing conferred upon him by the mystic tiger amulets. Further, the amulets provide a vast practical knowledge of martial arts.
Bio: Hector Ayala and his two cousins (Angela Del Toro, and Kasper Cole) were related to the original White Tiger, Hector Ayala Sr., who was a HAMMER agent. In his untimely death, Hector Sr. gave his jade tiger amulets to his son, and his niece, and his nephew Kasper Cole. The three of them decided become agents of HAMMER like the original White Tiger.
Dugan stood up after the presentation and said, “Well, Agent Vaughn, you have retained your job for now.”
Vaughn stood up from the table, left the meeting room with a big grin on his face, and started to prepare for the team he was going to groom.
