Bob pushed himself out of his makeshift bed of concrete (also known as a dent in a building) and proceeded to fall about 5 stories, after regaining his bearings and uttering something about memory foam he started the slow descent down towards the ground. Slow because he had no idea where the grey thing he was fighting had gone. Slow because he was sure there were thousands of glow orbs (glorbs?) in the sky. Although, what could he be sure of? The man was probably concussed, if heroes get concussions, that is. Shaking his head (because that definitely helps with brain trauma) and coughing loudly (because supervillains behave exactly like toddlers) Bob stared expectantly at the ground, resting his hands on his hips for added emphasis.
Nothing came. At first, anyway. The harder Bob stared at the ground, the more blurred his surroundings became. Soon enough, the entire space around him resembled something not even LSD would take you to. As the colours around him separated, moved and joined other colours, Robert found himself in a familiar place again, the street he called home, only still trapped in space. The frozen people were gone, as were their houses. Instead, the space-de-sac had become a long stretch of tarmac, grass and meaningless fences, with only Robert's house the only non squirrel sized dwelling left. He was forced to shield his eyes as thousands of familiar yellow orbs popped up around the space-de-sac, forming a perimeter, one that Bob couldn't break using his newly discovered powers. In 1000th of a second the orbs flew far away, until they were only as big as a grain of sand. Bob stepped back as his brain slowly recovered the connect the dots skill he had learnt in school, and his jaw hung wide as a face emerged from the thousands of twinkling yellow stars.
