Iron Woman, Part 18- The Armour Wars

It had been a long day for the two armored heroes. They stayed up all night at the top of a hotel, looking out for any possible activity, whether it was crime, $exu@l, or a fun game. The chopper pilot slept on his front seat, getting tired of the search. He told Tara that he had no clue where to find his boss. The Mandarina had vast resources that not even Tara and Jamie could take them all down. Tara looked at the pilot, hoping he could find the location. She stepped towards him, and woke him up. The pilot had enough being bullied by the rich billionaire. He wanted to go home, relax, and f**k his wife. It never came to him that he would be forced by the heroes to search for the dangerous enemy. In fact, she could be anywhere in China. The only thing the pilot knew that the Mandarina loved to eat her delicious oranges.

“Hey you!” Tara said. “Whatever your name is... You need to take us to the palace.”

“A palace?” The pilot said, almost opened his eyes, and still felt sleepy. This wasn't the right time to search for some place, where nobody could visit at this time of hour. He knew that.

“I’m afraid the palace is closed right now”, the pilot said in his half-sleep. “Besides, what makes you think the Mandarina is there?”

“I had a hunch,” Tara said. She recalled the picture that she had shown to Jamie before, when they were on the private jet, flying to China. It showed that the secret agent, Nathan Romanoff, also known as the Black Spider, infiltrated the palace without notice. She already gave a thought about it, and figured that the palace would only be the logical place to find the villain.

“I don’t know, Miss Stark,” the pilot said. “There are night guards there. You wouldn’t want me to drop you off, and find the Mandarina.”

“Oh, we’ll see about that,” Tara said. She told Jamie to stop looking for any sign of activity, and follow her to the chopper. Then Tara forced the pilot to take off the hotel. The pilot frowned, activated the controls and wore the seat belt on. Both Tara and Jamie did the same. Then the pilot took the chopper off.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a beautiful night. The lights were shone from the buildings, the restaurants, and sex shops. There were a bunch of vehicles parked around the streets, and some people walking, holding hands, and kissing each other. Tara wondered if they could see her from down below. It wasn't like she had to gain attraction from anybody else, living around here. She was on a mission to find the Mandarina, and bring her to justice.

On the backseat of the chopper, Jamie opened her suitcase to see if her armor was still intact. So far, there were only scratches made by the late Lash Mistress. If her armor were to be completely destroyed, there was no way that she could help Tara to fight the Mandarina. However, she had been trained to fight, even without using it. She couldn’t just rely on her precious object, fighting baddies, and save the world.

A sound was being heard nearby. Tara saw the black sky, wondering if it was the fireworks. But she knew that it wasn’t the time of the Chinese New Year celebrations. She remembered coming to China once with her parents, and they had celebrated the memorable occasion. She had eaten Chinese food like pork chops, noodles, beef curry... Mm...Tara thought. She felt like she wanted to go to a restaurant right now, and eat some delicious Chinese food.

Jamie looked out the window and see if there was anyone else, causing the mysterious sound. It sounded like something or someone was hovering in the air, or even a missile coming in the chopper’s way.

“Oh no,” Jamie said. She knew it was the sound of a missile. The Mandarina knew that she and Tara were coming for her.

Tara turned around from her front seat and asked, "What's the matter?" Then she also looked out the window.

“That sound,” Jamie said. “It’s a missile.”

“What?!” Tara said. The pilot was surprised too. He looked around to see where the missile was heading towards them. Jamie knew her instinct well, that it was the sound of a missile. Tara believed her friend, and told the pilot to move away from it. This moment felt like she was caught in the Afghan loop again, and the jet crash. But this time, the missile was going to blow up the chopper, along with the pilot and the armored heroes.

The pilot stretched his hands, sideways, holding the controls, and steered the joystick towards the left. Judging by the sound of the missile, he knew it would come from the right. He had learned this skill back in his training days. But what if he were to die? Wouldn’t it be great that the heroes were both dead, and the Mandarina be happy about it? If he were to escape from this incoming tragedy, he would get punished by his boss. It may sound like a suicide mission, but Mandarina would have wanted that way. But the thought of his wife back in Mexico... He had to make a choice, and that was to move away from the missile, avoid the impact and the possible explosion. He didn’t want to die, leaving his precious wife behind. There would be nobody else to f**k her, unless his wife had cheated on him.

A single missile kept flying through the air, still targeting the occupants of the chopper. The villain, who just shot the missile, was still hovering, and watched to see if the plan would work. The unknown villain wore red armor, similar to Tara and Jamie. But this armor that the villain wore, was quite bulky and had the strength to overcome the power of her enemies. The female villain waited, and checked the screen from her helmet. The missile still flew in the air. She hoped that the mission would become successful.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile in the chopper, Tara said she had an idea of how to escape from the missile. She told her friend that they had to wear their armors, and take the chopper pilot with them before the missile destroys them. Jamie agreed to the idea, hoping that her armor would still work in perfect condition. She hurriedly opened the suitcase, and wore her armor. Tara did the same thing.

The missile headed straight towards the chopper, several inches away. Tara wanted to destroy it with her repulsor beam. But she felt it could be dangerous for the missile debris to fall down, and hurt everyone else in the process. She couldn’t take that chance.

Once the heroes wore their armors completely, Tara forced the pilot to come with them and leave the chopper. But the pilot didn’t want to leave, because he had been flying this chopper all his life. Then he thought about his wife, and was willing to accept the fact that he had to make another choice. He frowned, and opened the seat belt. Tara carried the pilot away from the chopper. He wrapped his arms around her back. Jamie followed them behind.

The missile arrived at the two heroes. Tara flew up, missing the weapon and Jamie flew sideways. The chopper almost fell down, and the missile hit it. BOOM!

“$h!t!” The pilot cried out. “That was my baby!”

“Don’t worry,” Tara said, carrying the pilot on her back. “You’ll get another one, once you’re out of jail.”

“$h!t,” the pilot said. He looked over his shoulder, and watched his baby fired into bits of debris. He really missed her.

Tara, Jamie and the pilot flew through the air, until they spotted another armored figure. The mysterious villain was angry that her mission had failed. The Mandarina wouldn’t like the sound of this. After all, it was the armored villain’s idea of stopping the two heroes this way.

“Oh great!” Tara said. “We have another one.”

“Hello, Miss Stark,” the armored figure said, trying to calm her anger. “My name is Antonia Vanko. People call me the Crimson Dynamiss.”

To be continued in Iron Woman, Part 19- The Crimson B!tch.
