I Lost My Crown

For an age I sat atop the mountain of fan-fiction.

Mainly as I posted lots and commented heaps.2739 fan fic posts. It was good to be "the king".

Now that title has passed. Only just, but now I am second, possibly forever to @impurestcheese

Pfft it happens, it's not like it comes with any real power, authority or pay cheque. Just means you're here a lot :)

@batkevin74: I remember that after the site was remodeled I was the top poster on this board for almost a month. Within a six-month period I went from first to tenth and slowly clawed my way back to 7th place.

@dngn4774: I was surprised to find myself at 10th, shortly after I started reading on the Fan-Fic board. I bounced back and forth from 10th to 9th and back to 10th again for months, then suddenly I was 4th lol.

I know the "added to my FF Long Box" and "added to the Marvel Iron Age Library" posts helped that advance tremendously...just disguised bumps. :)

I was close to the top, then the horror was visited upon us. The site shift!! I lost my place, tumbled down into the valley of the unseen. Battered and broken I waited for my time to claim the crown once and for all, but alas! The cursed hit-man known as @Tommy was always one step ahead of me.

But I'm coming now @impurestcheese I've been playing Pokemon Conquest for hours on end, mastering the techniques of war, and I come for my crown!!

[Insert maniacal laughter here]

Oh, ouch. The first blow is struck.

@wildvine: Yep, had a great time, got to tease some boys a little bit of kitesurfing and had a beach barbecue. :-)

@wildvine: When I first started @primepower53 and @theimpersonator where on top along with @thecannon and bit by bit, inch by inch I pegged them back, mainly writing truckloads of Marvel Iron Age and commenting on everything. Then the site shift and we all started at zip and I clambered my way to the top and now...well now @impurestcheese is 12-20 posts ahead which is such a dangling carrot to catch...

I remember Cannon, he started me out with Marvel Re-Imagined, then you kindly critiqued my work and I learned that I have to show who is talking and not write random dialogue lines, lol.
