(Cut to a shot of Gwen walking into the Gypsy camp wearing a red hooded robe. She approaches one of the gypsies, handing her some coins.)
Gwen Conliffe: I request the presence of Maleva....
(The gypsy points to a tent covered in feathers and beads. It is red. Gwen Conliffe walks to the tent, and sees Maleva, her eyes closed as she prays. Gwen Conliffe takes of her hood to reveal her face.)
Gwen Conliffe: You met with Lawrence didn't you?
Maleva: I have a fortune telling business, I meet a lot of Lawrences.
Gwen Conliffe: You know who I'm talking about. I need you to help me.
Maleva: There is no hope for him...
(Maleva is about to walk out of the tent when Gwen firmly grabs her arm. She is angry and scared.)
Gwen Conliffe: That's what he told me, but please, there has to be. There has to be a way to stop it.
Maleva: You are a fool if you think I have not tried. My son was a victim of the curse, I searched all my life for a cure. But in the end, fate took him away from me. When one is bitten by The Wolf-Man they are doomed to become the beast in the next life as well. Eventually, the curse corrupts the infected, and they are sentenced to an eternity of damnation in hell. That is...Unless a loved one has the courage to...Set them free.
Gwen Conliffe: No...No! I can't...I can't do that, he's still there. I know he is, I know I can save him! Please, I'd die for that man, just tell me what to do!
Maleva: As I have said...I searched my whole life for a cure for my own son...No such cure exists. I am sorry. But you love the man behind the beast, and as a result you are burdened with setting Lawrence free. If not, you have only condemned him.
(Gwen backs away from Maleva slowly, crying. As she continues to walk away, she goes faster and faster until she has run away from her. Cut to Mercutio assembling his team of former comrades at the pub he met Lawrence at in the beginning. He salutes his comrades.)
Mercutio: Alright men, you were the finest soldiers I ever had the pleasure of fighting alongside. It was my honor to lay my life down for you. And herw we are again. One...
(Mercutio sucks up tears and sniffles.)
Mercutio:...Last mission. It has been confirmed that there is no cure for lycanthropy. So, I have entrusted each of you with a case of Silver Bullets.
(The angry looking men load their rifles and revolvers with silver bullets.)
Mercutio: If you see Talbot...Don't waste any time with conversation..
(Mercutio is on the edge of tears.)
Mercutio: Shoot him...Kill him...On sight!
(Cut to Lawrence getting into the back of a taxi as the sun sets. He gives the taxi keeper a sack of coins.)
Taxi Driver: Quite a tip...Where you headed?
Lawrence Talbot: The Ezekiel Tower...No questions asked.
Taxi Driver: You religious?
Lawrence Talbot:...I am now.
(The taxi drives into the sunset, and by the time that the taxi reaches the Ezekiel Tower, the sun has completely set, and night has befallen the sky. Lawrence steps out of the taxi, cane in hand. As he enters the Ezekiel Tower, a hint of light shines through the door. He quietly closes the door behind him, as it creeks. The Tower, which is normally dark, is filled with candles everywhere, giving an eerie light to the tower. Lawrence takes out his revolver, and loads it with silver bullets. As he begins to step forward, he accidentally steps on the corpse of Matthew, Father John's former student. Lawrence almost screams, barely containing himself as he backs up in horror. The corpse has had it's head and face mostly eaten away, a pool of blood surrounding his head. Lawrence stares at the corpse in horror, as he hears a piano playing "Take & Eat" slowly upstairs. Lawrence rubs the cross on his necklace dangling below his neck. He closes his eyes and sighs)
Lawrence Talbot(Whispering): I shall fear no evil...For though art with me...
(Lawrence walks up the steps slowly, his heart racing, as he finally reaches the top. When he get's there, Father John's back is facing Lawrence as he plays the piano. As we see a close up of his hands, they appear to be matted in blood.)
Father John: (While playing the piano): He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting. You make darkness, and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest creep about. The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God. When the sun rises, they steal away and lie down in their dens. Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.
(Father John suddenly stops playing the piano, as he turns around to see Lawrence. He smiles, the first time we have ever truly seen him smile in the movie. It is a devious smile, filled with dark intentions.)
Father John:And lo and behold, there he stands. The prodigal son. For he is returned.
Lawrence Talbot: i see you killed Matthew.
Father John: He tried to kill you, I saw to it that he was punished for his crimes. It matters not in the larger scale, I will kill again.
(Father John get's up.)
Father John: I see by the mark of the cross on your neck that you have found God.
Lawrence Talbot: No thanks to you...When you search within your heart you will know yourself to be a sinner.
Father John: A sinner, or a man strong and wise enough to see that fear and terror are required to punish the cruelty of Duncester? I must commend you, coming here alone to face me. Rather valiant of you. Foolish...But valiant. "An eye for an eye"...
Lawrence Talbot: This isn't about revenge...
Father John (Slightly louder): Is it? I killed your best friend, the family of your woman and sent you into the hands of an abusive academy at St Waggner's and Siodmak's. Of course it's about revenge Lawrence. Facing your fears and becoming the man I always wanted you to be, smiling as I face my demise. It is glorious isn't it?
(Father John winks)
Lawrence (Tearing up): No...It's hell.
Father John: Hell...No. The beast is the beast...Let it run free. Now strike me, and avenge Jim's death!
Lawrence: You're insane. Many of the people are innocent men and women, not sinners as you claim. He is not looking down on you smiling, he is horrified. As am I. But you are my father...And I love you. So I forgive you...
(Lawrence fires a shot with his revolver. A clicking noise is heard as it misfires. Lawrence tries again to fire, but to no avail. Father John swings a shovel from the fireplace at Lawrence, hitting him. Father John stares over his son with a look of rage and contempt.)
Father John: You couldn't just leave Duncester and let God's will be carried out!! You force me to kill my own son for to carry God's will. Just as Abraham sacrificed Issac, your death will prove my ultimate...Devotion!
(Father John strikes Lawrence twice with the shovel as he tries to get up. Lawrence's head is bloody)
Father John: I suppose I'll have to send a letter to you're dear departed Gwen as to why you have disappeared. Unless...
(Lawrence looks back at his father with a look of severe anger and determination. Father John becomes enraged.)
Father John: Unless you've already told her. Unless you've done other acts...Sinful acts. Yes, you made love to her, the rich slut! Well then, perhaps when I'm finished here, I'll pay her a little visit...Under the moonlight!
(Father Johnm prepares to strike Lawrence again, but Lawrence deflects it with his Silver Wolf Cane. He spears his father in the face with the silver handle of the cane. Father John is taken aback, spitting blood out of his mouth. Lawrence swings his cane upward, hitting Father John in the head, knocking him back. Cut to a shot of the full moon, as it begins to emerge out of the clouds. As Lawrence tries to strike Father John with the cane, his father catches it. He begins to transform extremely rapidly, laughing maniacally and smiling sinisterly.)
Father John: My turn, Lawrence!
(Father John turns into a Wolf-Man, roars, and strikes Lawrence across the room. Now we see Father John in Wolf-Man form. He is even more hideous than Lawrence~Wolf-Man. His face is inhumanly wrinkled, like that of a witch. His fangs and mandibles protrude out from his mouth in a deformed overbite. He is covered in golden-hair, like Lawrence~Wolf-Man. Lawrence's shadow begins to change as he transforms. He screams in pain and anger as we hear his clothes rip as well as the animal noises of The Wolf-Man. Finally, Lawrence emerges from the shadows, in Wolf-Man form. Father John~Wolf-Man growls. Lawrence~Wolf-Man returns the growl. The two begin to circle each other, before blundering into each other, ripping each other with tooth and claw. The two begin to rapidly wrestle on the floor, ripping each other apart. Inhuman, monstrous shrieks, screeches and growls are heard as they fight. Father~John Wolf-Man strangles Lawrence, striking him repeatedly with his clawed paw. Lawrence~Wolf-Man get's up from under Father John~Wolf-Man, and viciously bites him on the neck. Father John~Wolf-Man screams in pain, smashing a chair over Lawrence~Wolf-Man's head. Lawrence~Wolf-Man stumbles into the fireplace. As Father John~Wolf-Man prepares to strike, Lawrence~Wolf-Man throws hot coals from he fire place into Father John~Wolf-Man's face, He shrieks in rage and anger. As Lawrence~Wolf-Man jumps on Father John~Wolf-Man, Father John~Wolf-Man catches him by the throat and throws him 30 feet near the enormous 75-foot eagle-shaped statue just outside the room. Lightning strikes above the eagle shaped gargoyle/statue Father John~Wolf-Man charges Lawrence~Wolf-Man, running faster and faster before leaping at him with a roar. Lawrence~Wolf-Man flips Father John~Wolf-Man with his feet before falling on top of him. Lawrence~Wolf-Man bites Father John~Wolf-Man's neck and lower jaw, ripping out his tongue and part of his jaw. Lawrence~Wolf-Man begins to back away as Father John~Wolf-Man begins to transform back into a human. Father John~Wolf-Man looks up at Lawrence~Wolf-Man with tears in his eyes, shaking his head.)
Father John: After everything I did...You still...Loved me...
(The Wolf-Man roars before decapitating Father John. Father John's head is seen falling from the Ezekiel Tower from an under head shot. Cut back to The Wolf-Man howling, as he stands above the city. Cut to the stairs of the Ezekiel Tower as we see a frantic Gwen Conliffe running up the stairs, tears in her eyes.)
Gwen Conliffe: Lawrence!
(The Wolf-Man turns around, emitting a low, guttural growl. Gwen Conliffe is terrified.)
To be concluded...
