Freaks Episode 28: The Underground

New York City......

CRASH!

Ryan: Whoa! That was some big leap.

Adam: You're telling me.

Ryan: Hey! You got here early. Didn't you use the parachute?

Adam: Actually, I couldn't pull it off. So I had to create a portal to slide another world and then came back.

Ryan: Why didn't do that in the first place?

Adam: That's because we may not able to get back to this world. 

Ryan: But you took that big risk.

Adam: Yeah, I always take risks. 

Ryan: Ok. We're here. Are you sure that this mutant, Split is somewhere here?

Adam: Yeah. He should be in Mutant Town. Probably the sewers.

Ryan: Mutant Town?

Adam: Yeah, this is the place where mutants are living right now. My world has the same thing. The only change is that humans and mutants were living together in this place.

Ryan: I see. That sounds good. 

Adam: Anyways, we have to find Split. He should be in the sewers.

Ryan: Does he have a real name?

Adam: Derek Trevors

Sewers......

Human Rebel 1: Sir, we're ready to attack Magneto's palace. 

Jason: Good. The mutant, Scope is on his way. Once we give him the signal, he'll fire Wanda.

Derek: Sharon, did you hear that?

Sharon: Yeah, I know. I already scanned them. I know what they are doing.

Derek: Oh...I didn't realize that. 

Sharon: They're sending a mutant named Scope to kill Wanda. We must somehow warn Magneto about this.

Derek: But how?

Sharon: Forge told me these rebels have some kind of teleportation device. We need to get to it and escape from here.

Derek: Sounds like a risky plan.

Sharon: I'm sure it will work out. 

Derek: What about Jason? Aren't you going to face him?

Sharon: I don't have time for my big brother. We need to get out of here before anyone notices us.

SHIELD Helicarrier.....

Shaw: We need to find Ryan and this mutant named Adam.

Logan: Heh you're telling me. I knew something was wrong with that kid.

Mystique: Logan, I think I will get him by myself. 

Logan: What's wrong, blue lady? You're not allowing your ol' partner to help ya.

Mystique: Logan, this has nothing to do with us.

Shaw: Quiet you two. You and Logan will find them. Is that clear?

Mystique: Yes sir.

Logan: Well Mystique. It looks like we're back to our ol' game.

Mystique (thought): I have a bad feeling about this.

Somewhere in the mountains.....Dr. Frank's lab.

Sheila: Dr. Frank! Dr. Frank! Hello? 

Dr. Frank: Yes, I'm here. What do you want?

Sheila: Is the virus ready?

Dr. Frank: Yes, it is. But not quite.

Sheila: What do you mean?

Dr. Frank: I found that the Legacy virus is trying to counteract the affects of the new virus.

Sheila: That....doesn't sound good.

Dr. Frank: For some reason, when I was trying to alter the Legacy Virus. The effects of the new virus didn't seem to work. 

Sheila: Wait a minute! Didn't you test on your mutant patients?

Dr. Frank: Not only mutants. But humans as well. It's a test to see whether the Legacy Virus will affect the humans.

Sheila: What?

Dr. Frank: Yes, it may sound complicated but I was guessing that this virus can also affect humans rather than mutants.

Sheila: So....what did you do?

Dr. Frank: I genetically engineered the Legacy Virus. 

Sheila: I see. But I thought you said that the Anti-Legacy Virus wouldn't work.

Dr. Frank: That's because it did.

Sheila: I'm lost.

Dr. Frank: Don't you see? I made a new virus by altering it so it can wipe out the human race. 

Sheila: I think I understand where you're going from here.

Dr. Frank: You don't have to know what I'm trying to say. You have to see it for yourself.

Sewers.....

Derek: Is that the teleportation device?

Sharon: I think so. Forge told us that this could be it.

Derek: It looks so advanced though. I wonder who made it.

Sharon: Who knows? Even we know that Forge wouldn't make this sort of thing.

Derek: Yeah, but he does invent imaginary stuff. 

Sharon: Yeah, thanks to his mutant ability. 

Derek: Do you know how this thing works?

Sharon: It seems complicated but it won't be hard to figure it out. Forge taught me the controls.

Derek: I hope you know what you're doing.

Sharon: Don't worry. I'm sure....

Jason: Hold it right there!

Sharon: Jason?

Jason: Yeah sis. It's me. Your older brother. It's too bad our dad died in the hands of some mutie. Since now you're here, I guess I have to finish you off.

Derek: Hey! You watch your mouth. She's your sister for goodness sake.

Jason: I know that. Do you think I'm a fool? I never liked mutants that much. Because of you, Sharon. Our mom left us since she found out that you were different.

Sharon: Jason, it's not my fault. It's who I am. You have to accept it.

Jason: I will never accept a mutant in my life. And that includes you, sis.

Sharon: Jason! No! Don't point that gun at us. Don't......

Jason: I'm sorry, sis. This is for the best.

CRASH!

Jason: What the heck?

Ryan: Sharon?

Sharon: Ryan? What....are you doing here?

Ryan: Sharon, I was looking for...... 

Adam: Enough of the talk. We have to separate you from your double's body.

Jason: Well, it is more than I expected. I'll shoot you then.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

PING! PING! PING!

Jason: What?

Ryan: Geez, you really need to know what I'm capable of.

BASH!

Jason: Ahhh!

THUD!

Sharon: Ryan, are you....ok?

Ryan: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm stuck in my double's body. I need to get out of this shell.

Sharon: What are you talking about?

Ryan: It's hard to explain. I need to find Split and...... 
 
Derek: Excuse me?

Ryan: Huh?

Adam: Ryan, that's Derek.

Ryan: You! I need your help! Get me out of here.

Derek: Hey! Geez, slow down. I don't even know you.

Sharon: Ryan, we have to get out of here. Jason and his men are planning to kill Wanda.

Ryan: What?

Derek: She's right. We have to warn Magneto and the others at the palace. 

Sharon: A mutant sniper by the name Scope is sent to shoot her.

Ryan: Crap!

Adam: Ryan, I suggest we have to save for the separation later. 

Ryan: Yeah....I guess you're right.

Derek: What about Jason?

Ryan: Jason? 

Sharon: Jason is my human brother, Ryan.

Ryan: What? You had a brother?

Sharon: It's....a long story.

Derek: Look, we don't have much time. We need to use this teleportation device to get out of here.

Ryan: I...see.

Adam: I...don't know. I'm not a big fan of teleportation.

Ryan: Adam, it's do or die. We better hurry.

Adam: Ok Ok. We'll go. 
 
Ryan: Sharon, once we are done with this whole charade thing. I'll explain what's going on with me. 
 
Sharon: Ryan, you shouldn't have joined SHIELD in the first place. Your friends wouldn't like it. 
 
Ryan: I....see. By the way, how are they? 
 
Sharon: They're  fine. They are actually working for Magneto now. That includes Derek and me. 
 
Ryan: What? 
 
Sharon: Yes Ryan. We were sent to protect Wanda.
