To people who read the last chapter and waited for another sorry for the delay, I was working on another project and lost track of this one.
Conquerors: Chapter 2
When Loki’s actions led to Magnus gaining Thor’s powers Odin was furious and devised a new punishment for Loki, Loki had to stop Magnus, take away his powers and restore them to Thor otherwise Odin would reduce his life span to that of a human and trap him on Jotunheim with the other Frost giants.
With this ‘incentive’ Loki decided to do what Odin wanted. He had heard of the Fiend and decided that he was more than powerful enough to defeat Magnus so he decided to pit them against each other. Since Magnus started his conquest of Norway he had amassed many followers who worshiped him as a god, knowing Thor had spies in other countries since other countries had started helping Norway against him Loki magically created files that said that Fiend was secretly working for the American government and that the Americans were going to send Fiend after Magnus. Hearing this Magnus decided to find Fiend and kill him, however unbeknownst to Loki Iron Lord, who has also dealt with other countries trying to stop him conquering Afghanistan, also had a spy in the American government who discovered this file.
Iron Lord decided to go after Fiend because he didn’t want Fiend to come after him, he didn’t bring any of his soldiers because he didn’t want to reveal his actions to the Americans until it was too late, however he knew he couldn’t beat Fiend on his own so he recruited two local criminals, Atlas and Hornet, to help him.
When the five came together they were confused, Fiend didn’t know who these people were and Magnus didn’t know who Iron Lord, Atlas and Hornet were and vice versa. Magnus assumed the others were working with Fiend so he attacked all four. When the American government hear about the battle they send a spy plane to see what is happening, seeing this Fiend throws Atlas at the spy plane.
This confuses Magnus since he attacked an American spy plane using one of his apparent allies, the action also confuses the others. This lead those to question each other, Fiend told them he has nothing to do with the American government while Magnus and Iron Lord said they came to eliminate him as a threat and Atlas and Hornet were hired by Iron Lord as back up.
Loki, who had been watching the battle from a distance in his astral form, created an illusion of the American army which attacked everyone except Fiend so that the others would turn on Fiend. However unbeknownst to Loki, Fiend had the power to see people in their astral form so when he looked in the direction of the illusionary soldiers he saw Loki and guessed he must have something to do with it.
While the others attacked the soldiers Fiend went after Loki but found he couldn’t hurt him in his astral form. After the others defeated the military they turned on Fiend who explained that he thinks the soldiers weren’t from the American military, for one thing he had only destroyed the spy plane a minutes ago so there is no way they could have reacted that fast and most importantly, where are the bodies? They look around and realise Fiend is telling the truth.
Fiend tells them about the ghost man he saw who was about to leave when Magnus fired a bolt of electricity in the direction Fiend pointed which caused the astral projection of Loki to disappear and Loki (who is nearby) to wake up disoriented. Using Magnus’s enhanced senses the group found Loki before he could escape and they fought him and were able to quickly defeat him. Realising how powerful they were together they decided to become allies. When deciding on a name for them Hornet said “it should be something powerful and threatening like...The Conquerors or...” To which Atlas replies “’Or’ nothing! That’s it! The Conquerors!!” And so the Conquerors were formed.
