Rick Flag walked quickly down the long corridor , he had gotten an assignment he wasn't exactly happy with. He had been put in charge of assembling a government run black ops team, and of course the first guy he was ordered to "enlist" had to be him...
"Excuse me sir, but what exactly do you plan on doing with the prisoner?" The young guard asked attempting to keep up.
"Confidential," Flag replied simply.
"Of course sir, sorry" the guard said lowering his head.
Flag and the guard walked for a few minutes before they reached one of the furthest cells. The guard opened the door with shaking hand before letting Flag in. A man sat in the center of the dimly cell with his head down.
"Well hello Captain, to what do I owe the pleasure of your company?" The man said raising his head to look Flag in his eyes.
"It's Colonel actually." Flag replied as he signaled the guard to leave them alone.
"Oh really, Colonel Flag... I like that."
"Shut up, we both know that I'm not here to catch up Lawton."
"I know, I know." Lawton stood from the chair. "So, why are you here."
"I need you, or rather we need you."
"What do you mean, like a job." Lawton said with large smile.
"More like an opportunity."
"I don't know Flag that doesn't exactly appeal to me."
"Does sitting in this cell till you rot appeal to?"
"Alright, explain."
"The government ordered me to create a team."
"Team? No way you didn't say sh** about a team."
"Listen! the guy you're going after is to dangerous, his operation is to big."
"Hmm" Lawton thought about it "what do you mean?"
"His name is Rafique, and up until a week ago he was just a small time criminal, but it seems that he has come into contact with an item that allows him to be a rather... significant threat."
"Significant threat?... You think you could be a bit more specific."
"Not at the moment no."
"Fine I'll do it, but only under two conditions."
Flag exhaled angrily, "what do you want."
"First, I'm going to need some of the governments state of the art sh**. Second, I want to be there, when you're recruiting the rest I mean."
"Alright, fine." Flag replied noticeably angry that he had to succumb to Lawton's terms.
"Nice! You know Flag." Lawton said putting his arm around the Captain, "I think this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful partnership."
"You're confused Lawton, this is not a partnership. Make no mistake you work for me."
"Ah, whatever."
