The Flash Part One (In Screenplay Format):
CENTRAL CITY
A man in a white T shirt, brown leather jacket, blue jeans, with brown hair medium length, with a package of food tucked under his arm is running from the Overlord's Justifiers. He's fast for a man of 21, as he dodges energy beams form Justifier guns.
CENTRAL CITY
A medium shot as he clears a fence into the backyard of a family.
JUSTIFIER #1
This is your last warning! Further running will result in execution.
CENTRAL CITY
Close up of the man as he runs. His name is Brooks Hansen
BROOKS HANSEN
How did I even get into this mess?
CUT TO
CENTRAL CITY-EARLIER
Montage of Brooks sneaking into mansions. Each time he steals something and it's cut to him bringing it to some homeless man or someplace that needs it.
BROOKS HANSEN (NARRATING)
I like to think of myself as a sort of Robin Hood. Robbing from the rich and giving to the poor and whatnot. I steal things from people in the employ of THE OVERLORDS, then give them to people in need. I'm becoming something of a legend among the needy, and a criminal in among the rich men.
CENTRAL CITY-EARLIER
Brooks is running from a mansion, a package of food tucked under his arm. Alarms are blazing and hounds and Justifiers are chasing him.
BROOKS HANSEN (NARRATING)
Until today, the guy I robbed had some kind of advanced security system. It alerted the Justifiers, the policemen for the Overlords, immediately.
CENTRAL CITY-now
Close up of Brooks as he falls to the ground, hit by a Justifier's gun. He get up immediately and begins running/limping away.
CENTRAL CITY-NOW
Back view of an old man opening his door as Brooks comes running by.
OLD MAN
Psst! Brooks! Over here!
Brooks hansen (nARRATING)
I don't know who this guy is, but I'll take all the help I can get.
Fade to
CENTRAL CITY
The old man and Brooks are talking.
OLD MAN
I've heard about you, Brooks. I heard good things about you. Believe me when I say I'm here to help.
CENTRAL CITY
Close up of the old man touching Brooks lower leg, his wound.
OLD MAN
You got a little wound there, didn't you? You're fast...I used to be a runner myself...till I finally got running days are over.
CENTRAL CITY
Close up of the old man touching Brooks' heart. Lightning surges from his hand all over Brooks' body.
OLD MAN
But yours don't have to be...you can still run.
BROOKS HANSEN
AAAAAAAAGH!
CENTRAL CITY
Wide shot of the speed force covering Brooks' body, making a Flash uniform.
OLD MAN
You can be the new FLASH.
CENTRAL CITY
Close up of the old man.
OLD MAN
My name's Jay Garrick. I was the original Flash. Only my extended lifespan allowed me to live this long..I've just given you the last of my speed.
BROOKS HANSEN
I-I don't know what to say.
JAY GARRICK
Just say thanks.
CENTRAL CITY
Close up of Brooks.
BROOKS HANSEN
Thank you.
CENTRAL CITY
Medium shot of Justifiers breaking the door down, firing blindly.
JUSTIFIER
PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!
CENTRAL CITY
A shot goes through Jay's heart, killing him.
JAY GARRICK
AGH!
BROOKS HANSEN
NO!
Brooks cradles his dying body.
JAY GARRICK
It's okay...my time was coming anyway...just use what I gave you...to...help....
Jay's hand falls to the ground.
BROOKS HANSEN
NOOOOOO!
JUSTIFIER
You have been warned. You will be terminated.
CENTRAL CITY
In a scarlet blur, the Justifier topples over. Fists raging, Brooks beats all the Justifiers senseless. The don't even have a chance to react.
CENTRAL CITY
The camera follows Brooks as he runs down the road, carrying Jay's dead body.
BROOKS HANSEN (NARRATING)
