This topic is locked from further discussion.
@impurestcheese: Me and CB are date crashes anyway.
What? Wasn't that the plan?
I don't knw what that means, but it's making my inner button pusher twitch
@impurestcheese: I don't knw what that means, but it's making my inner button pusher twitch
I think it means she would shoot us with arrows. But we can distract her by throwing golden apples in her path. No worries.
@cbishop: That's Atalanta with the apples. Artermis when caught bathing set a pack of dogs on him (his own) who ripped him to shreads
@wildvine: Yeah well I'm going to throw a moth at you so there :-p
@cbishop: That's Atalanta with the apples. Artermis when caught bathing set a pack of dogs on him (his own) who ripped him to shreads
<Looks @wildvine> I have no plan then. Run. We'll have to go our...
I feel like Impurest is the only one who has read mine.
Zombie is not my favorite subject, so it took me awhile to want to read these. I also had to get mine written first. Yours was decent, but the trip to hell seemed like a weird turn. Zombie prom princess might net you a win though. :)
@impurestcheese: The return of the Thane! Well done.
@omniscience: First person to ever win back to back managed to get three in a row which was cbishop (CCC 23, 24 & 25) but if you want me to bow out of this contest, just ask
Okay, no. To both of you, This isn't even an issue, and I'm not letting it become one. This is just a friendly competition. Let's just play nice, kay?
Seriously, this is not going to be an issue 35 contests in. No way though does the winner get excluded from the following contest. For one thing, not enough people enter to begin with. To eliminate a willing contestant just because he won the last contest would be BORING. The winner gets to defend his title, and really, what fun is the next contest if you don't get to fight against the champ? Part of the fun of picking the next contest is picking a topic that plays to your own strength. It's your (the champ's) homefield advantage against everyone else (the visitors).
Believe me, as the next two closest, I was hoping Imp' and I would rack up some more wins, making the race to be the first ten time winner more challenging for Batkev'. <shrugs> Didn't happen- Bats had six wins under his belt before either of us got our first, and he is a lean, mean, writing Bat-machine- top notch competition. It was pure chagrin to see him get that tenth win, but pure joy too, because he earned every win with his writing. I would really like it if there were ten people neck-and-neck for "most wins"...the stories would get to be insane, and insanely fun. :)
Eloquently put, @cbishop. And no insult intended @batkevin74, I was merely putting out my humble observations, and I'm glad to see that everyone has motioned to the contrary.
@cbishop: Thanks he wasn't going to be in theer originally, in fact it was going to be a different tale all together, about some frat boys, creating a treasure guardian zombie to protect their fathers accounts from the IRS. But that just seemed corny...
Interesting
Write up an entry and give us some more competition! :)
@wildvine: Good Luck
@wildvine: we'll see
@the_toaster: Ok Dk
@the_toaster: @wildvine: It's the 26th here in Australia, we end on the 28th. Hey @tommythehitman still got time to get an entry in

@batkevin74: Hey BK did you get the PM I sent you last weekend?
Its late, its rushed, and its not my best. But here's a different kind of zombie.
SCPX-1127-"The Conquer Worm"
Item #: SCPX-1127
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCPX-1127 is to be locked in a standard item lock-box in the Site 52 anomalous book library. Experimentation with the item is currently suspended.
Description: SCPX-1127 is a blue three subject spiral note book. It shows signs of excessive handling but appears otherwise to be fairly new. The written content is smudged in places and written using different pens. The subject matter is a thesis on Edgar Allen Poe's "The Conquer Worm."
It starts out with fairly obvious observations with notes scribbled in. At the twenty-third page the writing becomes more frantic and changes to a journalistic style describing the world after an unknown cataclysmic event.
Reading past page ten causes the subject to believe they live in the post-apocalyptic world described. Symptoms beginning with a disassociation escalates over a period of three days to seven, in which the subject will show signs of paranoia, and manic fits of rage. After approximately three days subject will begin to see any humans as enemies, and any lower animal life as food, which will be killed and devoured raw, with no apparent negative consequences'es. After approximately seven days subject will attack any human with intent to kill and devour, including other affected subjects.
SCPX-1127 was recovered from the home of [REDACTED] after he attacked [REDACTED] in Miami, Fl and proceeded to eat [DATA EXPUNGED] False information was leaked out blaming the attack on a new street drug. Monitoring of all news outlets for additional "zombie attacks" is ongoing.
