I have an idea for a superman-spiderman amalgam though I haven't got a name yet, the idea is:
The planet Krypton explodes, the only scientist to see it coming was mocked for his prediction. To save his baby son from the planet’s destruction he sent him away in a small rocket, he had sent him to Earth having determined it to be the most suitable planet. Realising his son would develop superhuman abilities under Earth’s yellow sun he altered his genetics so he wouldn’t, allowing him to live a normal life and not to grow up and possibly use his powers for evil.
When he reached Earth he landed in a small town called Smallville where he was found by local farming couple Jonathon Parker and Martha Parker who were unable to have children so decided to raise the alien baby, calling him Clark Parker. When Clark was very young his parents lost the farm to debt, selling the farm and moving to the city Metropolis looking for new work opportunities.
Clark grew up in Metropolis, he lived next door to a girl he went to school with called Lois Watson he had a big crush on. He and Lois attended Metropolis high school, Clark wore glasses and very unfashionable clothes, he was very intelligent, always getting top grades but he had poor social skills, being very shy. His fellow students took his shyness as snobbery and thought of him as a know-it-all nerd so he was regularly bullied.
One day on a field trip to a public science exhibition involving radiation a spider is irradiated and bites Clark and dies seconds after. This made Clark feel sick so he went outside to get some fresh air. Unbeknownst to him the radioactive spider bite broke his Kryptonian father’s genetic alterations, granting him his natural alien superpowers. He gained superhuman strength (including super strong leg muscles allowing him to leap over tall buildings in a single bound), superhuman speed, resistance to injury (can withstand small calibre bullets with no injury) and the ability to stick to any surface. On the way home he discovered his powers which he told his parents about when he got home. They decided to tell him he was an alien.
After getting over this shock he talked with his parents about what to do with his powers after which he decided to use his powers to fight crime. His mother made him a costume to disguise him and to identify him as a superhero. When Clark left for his first outing as a superhero Lois Watson saw him leave, when she saw him on the news using superpowers she realised he was a superhero. Later on he discovered his parents had money troubles so he answered an ad in a local newspaper called the daily bugle which was asking for photos of his superhero persona so he took photos of himself in costume and sold them to the daily bugle. While there he discovers that Lois Watson is an intern at the daily bugle.
