Indigo City, 2 Hours after the encounter with Lex Hard and the Quoll
I've been visiting this alley WAY too much recently. Visiting the old man... leaving things at his cardboard box... sometimes I wonder why I even hang around with this guy.
"Hey Snipes!" I say nervously. The Cardboard box in front of me begins to shuffle. "We need to talk." Snipes drags his thin body out of the box before standing up. One of the first things I notice about him are the clothes he's wearing. While usually he looks like he's just walked out of a dumpster (which he usually has) the clothes he's wearing now seem pretty new, with only a few faint stains of his normal life. Looks like I know what he did with the money I gave him.
"Well, well, well, well, well, well, well...." Snipes take a sip from a bottle of wine by his feet. The wine leaving stains in his beard. "If it isn't Mister Big Shot SUPERHERO!"
"Yep... it's me." Something clicks in my mind. "Snipes what have you done?" I ask. He pulls an innocent face.
"Done?" He says. "What HAVE I done Mark? Whatever have I done?!"
"....Snipes are you drunk?" He nods his head before slumping back against the Alley Wall. "Thanks for looking after Daisy by the way." I add. "You did a great job."
"What are you talking about?" Snipes looks up at me with large blue eyes. For a second I feel almost like he's a small child that doesn't know what he's doing. "She's right there..." He points his arm towards a small sock puppet lying on top of the bin, with a smiley face drawn on. It's really kinda sad.
"...Come on Snipes." I grab him by the arm and pull him up off the ground. "Let's get you some help." Snipes gives a hacking cough spraying what looks like blood onto his shiny new shoes, I'm worried for a second before realizing it's just wine.
"So..." He gargles, red wine dripping from his mouth to the tip of his beard. "...so what brings you to my neck of the neighborhood?" He's trying to be funny. "Mister... BIG SUPERHERO!"
"I asked you to look after Daisy, Snipes." I tell him. "Then I get home and find her there on her own. What the hell happened?" He's leaning on me with all his weight, we're both using each other as a crutch and are waddling towards the alley exit.
"I dunno Mark." He tells me. "I thought she was safe with me until you pointed out she was just... a sock puppet."
"Fine..." For a thin guy he is really heavy. "Screw it." I mutter.

We reappear in my apartment, Daisy jumps in surprise.
"What the hell..." He mutters. He drops his wine bottle in surprise before bending over and letting his guts loose all over the Carpet. I forget... sometimes Teleporting can mess with a first timer's stomach. I pat him on the back.
"It's alright." I tell him. He's still bent over letting his guts out. I glance at Daisy and move my lips at her. "Call an Ambulance." Slowly Snipes bends back up and I carefully step over the pool of Sick he's made in my White Carpet. "Why don't you go lie down Snipes?" I ask him. He mumbles something before waddling towards my bedroom. "Oh by the way!" I yell behind him. "I'm gonna need a new costume!" He ignores me before slamming the bedroom door shut. "Freaking costumes..." I mutter before sitting down on the couch. After a couple of seconds Daisy returns.
"The Ambulance is on its way." She says. "Should be here in a few minutes."
"Good. Now I want you to go make your Uncle Snipes a Cup of Coffee and slip some Sleeping Pills inside as well."
"Sleeping Pills?"
"Yep. He's not going into a Hospital without a-"
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
"-Fight?" Me and Daisy both turn towards the Apartment door. After a few seconds of waiting a few more knocks are heard. Immediately one person springs to mind. That Assassin guy from the other day has come to finish the job he started. "Get in the other room." I tell Daisy. She opens her mouth to object but I shoot her glance. "Now!" I teleport a black hoodie around my body and pull the hood down as low as it'll go before slowly approaching the door. My hand grips the handle.... and I twist the Knob slightly before yanking it open. The guy who was knocking falls forward and slams into the ground. Clearly he wasn't expecting it. He looks up at me in surprise but I've already got my foot at his throat.
"Make a move and I'll kick you in the face." I tell him. "Hard." He nods at me but to be honest I've made a mistake. He doesn't really look like an Assassin. Probably due to the large glasses he's got over his eyes. "Who are you and why are you chasing after me?"
"I.... I'm the guy that Text you the other day..." He stammers. "The guy that asked you to meet me at the Indigo Bar." Oh. SO THAT'S WHAT HE MEANT BY INDIGO!
"Aw crap. Sorry about that man!" I tell him. "I've been busy. Fighting giant rat things... and Stoner AC/DC Fans... and explaining to Daisy what gay porn i-" I realize I'm still crushing his throat and apply a little less pressure. "Oh sorry about that." I pull him up from the ground before quickly tossing him onto the chair. "Who are you and how did you know my Phone Number?" Another question pops into my head. "And how the hell do you know who I am?!"
He twitches nervously on the chair. Maybe it's the black vomit right by his feet. Maybe it's because he knows he's inside the Devil's Den.
"My name's Jack Moore..." He says. He's twisting his hands nervously as though he's scared of something. "...I know your number... and who you are because that's my power." I open my mouth to ask but he continues anyway. "My Carrier Super Power is the ability to form a Reasonable Theory on anything. That's how I guessed who you are. That's how I guessed your Phone Number... and that's how I know who that Assassin guy is that tried to kill you the other day."
"Wait what?"
He looks me dead in the eyes... and I can see fear across his face.
"I know who these people are that are coming after you... and because of that they're coming after me."
