24 HOURS AFTER THE LAST ISSUE
Lex's limo snaked through the streets of Indigo at a breakneck pace. Rico sat facing Lex, briefing him on all the events that had been going on in the city lately.
"Well, Kira, Bone, and Speedy stopped a couple carriers, but they've mostly been letting the Response do their thing. Peacekeeper, Diver, and Wind Duster have been running around together. Let's see.....um oh yea some carrier terrorists group has been active recently." Rico reported.
"Any connection to the group out in Kingsville?" Lex asked. He knew a large group of Carriers had been living out there for a while now, but up until now, he'd barely thought about them.
"Not sure. some of my sources are saying yes and others are denying it."
"And I'm assuming we don't have anyone on the inside?" Lex queried.
"Not yet." Rico replied as he pulled out his phone and made a note of his boss' request. As he finalized his note, a text message from an informant inside the ICPD arrived on his phone.
"It looks like The response is getting their asses handed to them right about now. By one Carrier."
Lex smirked at this new piece of information. "Maybe we should send Speedy to help them out." Lex mused out loud.
"Help The Response? or that Carrier?" Rico asked.
"I haven't decided yet." Lex answered with a straight face.
As the Limo approached Lex's stronghold it began to slow down. "Also boss, um Invisidude was arrested a little while back."
"Why the hell was the CBTF after him?" Lex demanded.
"Well it wasn't the CBTF...it was the ICPD." Rico revealed.
"What?!" Lex fumed. The limo came to a complete stop when it arrived at it's destination. as Lex reached for the door handle to exit the vehicle he paused to speak to Rico.
"Find him and get him out of police custody. Subtly is preferred here. If you can't get him out through official channels, use less "official" channels. And make sure you leave behind no witnesses." Lex commanded. Then he exited the Limo and it sped off carrying Rico, leaving him to ensure that Lex's wishes were carried out.

Bone whistled a jaunty tune as he walked down the filthy alley. There were junkies and homeless citizens of the city strewn about the floor. Many of them lost in a drunken stupor, some high off of stardust and some were just wallowing in their despair. Bone smirked to himself as he thought of their misfortune. Suddenly he stopped in path. Something was off about this whole scenario. This was a bad part of town, but there was no way that there were this many bums milling around so close to Lex's hide out. He'd never stand for it.
Suddenly a shard of glass launched itself at Bone, aimed for his throat very precisely. Only a very swift reaction time and years of killing for hire prevented him from ending up with a slit throat. Another shard flew at him and Bone jumped and dodged out of the way, even as more and more shards started flying.
Suddenly, as if the odds weren't bad enough, what seemed to be a mass of sludge jumped out at him. Bone attempted to cut through it, but the sludge simply let his Bone Blade pass right through it. The mass of sludge slowly began to take form and Bone was able to make out a face.
"It's over. Why don't you just give it up." Sludge Man hissed. Bone spit at his feet snarled. "I should have known a brute like you would never take the easy way out."
Bone lunged at the face in the sludge, with his Bone blade aimed right at his eye. The blade pierced Sludge man's eye, but the blade kept moving as it met almost no resistance. As the bone went in deeper than he expected, Bone lost his footing and tripped up and fell on the floor.
He cried out in pain as he felt shards of glass digging in to his flesh. It was mostly non vital points, but it still hurt all the same. Bone quickly forced himself to his feet and started to back away from the creature that stood in front of him. If he couldn't cut this Carrier, then he had no hope of defeating it. Bone was immediately looking for a way out of this situation.
"If you're looking for a way out, there isn't one." A British accented voice said out of the darkness. Suddenly, accompanied by the sound of crackling electricity, a fair skinned blonde man stepped into the light. "You will tell us everything you know about my nephew's operations. And then, if you're lucky, we'll kill you."
"Who the h3LL are you guys?" Bone snarled.
"Why....we're agents of the Cabal of course." The man replied, smiling malevolently. As he spoke the yellow electricity that formed a protective aura around him crackled and shifted from around him. Then, as if it had a mind of it's own, the electricity leapt out at Bone and attacked him. The electric shock was enough to overload his entire nervous system and knock him out, leaving him weak and vulnerable on the dirty street.

"We have a problem with Invisidude," Rico looked at his boss, who was currently standing in front of a brand new punching bag. It was filled with some special material that was supposed to be helpful for abnormally strong Carriers. Even the chains used were much stronger than the regular ones used for non carriers.
"If you say you can't find him," Lex smirked at his own joke. "What problem? He's with the police ,ju..."
"Actually," Rico gently interrupted. "He WAS being held by the cops, but he's a carrier so the CBTF took him."
"Then call t..."
Rico grimaced as he interrupted again. "And by the time our guy found out he was transported to the DICC. He's in a cell."
Lex rubbed his teeth together as he pondered options. Then he punched the bag filled with the high tech materials off of its chain and in the wall, leaving a huge dent. "Kill him. Today."
