Each week we take a close look at a comic book collectible. That means taking it out of the box. Last week we took a look at the Back to the Future Mary McFly figure from Vinyl Sugar. Now we're going to take a look at the Doctor Emmett Brown figure.
Check out our unboxing video to see a hands on look.
As with the Marty figure, you can easily take the figure out of the packaging. This makes it easy for you to decide if you want to display the figure in the package or out.
Here's the back of the box with info on Doc.
These figures do not have any articulation. They're meant for display. The figures are very solid and have a nice heft to them. There is a stand included but I couldn't get both pegs in this stand to fit into Doc's feet. With just one foot in a peg, the figure stood with no problem at all.
The figures in this line have a sort of goofy look to them. I think it's a more cartoonish look that sets it apart from an attempt to just make a regular version of them. It's understandable this may not appeal to everyone.
Doc has a few accessories on his sculpt. He has a tool belt, a stopwatch, and is holding the remote control for the DeLorean when he sent Einstein one minute into the future.
There is also a display of "088" on the remote because that's when serious...poop happens.
As with the Marty figure, Doc looks a little weird (weirder?) from the sides.
It's likely if you're buying Doc, you're going to get Marty. They look great together.
Check out the Vinyl Sugar Facebook page for other figures available and what's coming up. Let us know what you think of this. Be sure to check out the video.
We'll have another item featured soon.
