WildStorm and Astro City and Milestone

Are all wildstorm and and milestone dc properties? Should all the remaining wildstorm/milestone characters on the vine be changed to DC? And whats the deal with Astro City, I know Vertigo published a couple of those. But what about characters like the confessor should they be changed to vertigo as publisher?

Yes, once they appear in the New-52 probably, Astro City has had several different publishing deals, no idea.

@rogo: A characters publisher should be whoever published them last, owning them is not always enough as there is no way to know for sure if any specific character was left out of a deal or just plain forgotten.

@pikahyper: And characters that are in the public domain like Black Terror it says its a pines character, cause that is the original publisher but he is in the public domain. But the last publisher is Dynamite Entertainment. So should that be changed to dynamite or public domain or just pines?

@rogo: once something goes into public domain it should stay there. Publishers don't get updated that often unless they are more popular characters so a lot gets overlooked as time goes on.

Some properties are listed by owner though, like Disney, since the characters are published by 20+ publishers monthly. Actually this has been the case for most properties that are published by multiple publishers.

@fesak: very true and in the case of international stuff it should be the original publisher instead of whoever translates or licenses it.
