Why can't I upload bmp images?

Whenever I try to upload a .bmp file, it gives an error message saying Error Uploading Images: Length Required. Why is this happening? What can I do about it?

I am unsure. But honestly, it is best to upload .jpg / .JPEG files. They load faster than others, they're smaller, and they have less glitches than .bmp files occasionally have.

bitmaps suck

CV hates bitmaps, better change the format to .jpg or .png. :]
