I'm not sure I didn't already. It doesn't seem staff has any intention of fixing it.If Xerox (a mod) can't get them to do something...what can I do?" @Vance Astro In fairly certain xerox-kitty started a thread pertaining to this in Bug Reporting. You might want to post in that as well. "
Ways and Ideas to improve Comicvine
This topic is locked from further discussion.
More spoiler alerts DAMMIT.
Also it would be nice to cover some character death issue category. I was just searching for one character's appearance in certain comic, but because my internet is slower today and it didn't showed profile picture immeaditely I accidentaly glimpsed at his death issue.
I know this is more as a wiki and such, but couldn't there be spoiler-free options if I just want to search for character appearances?
And of course couldn't they just put spoilers in review instead of freaking title?

more people here hook-up?

oh those two yes...im just generally unaware of dating, sex, flirtation, or anything else outside of jokes
anywhere, or more it doesnt register. i guess whats not in my life doesnt exist. theres only art, music
and comics is more what i mean. ive only been with a handful of people and it was because they
pretty much took me, and due to circumstances, and was emotionally detached. otherwise ive never
pursued the whole dating lifestyle, ect. On this site, i presumed with something i was told that anything
I saw was just some form of comradery/jest/roleplaying as it where anyways, and not real nor intentful.
Sex on the vine...
Just wanting to clear this up quickly, no way no how. if someone is coming onto you and you like it, take it to PMs or better yet off the site. If someone is harassing you, you PM a mod instantly, make sure it's me because I hate when people pull this sh!t here. As for friendly flirting hell me and EC do it all the time, but don't go over board or I'll kill you.

Ok I got another suggestion for an improvement and I've brought visuals !!!! :D
I've been adding lots of old issues to the wiki and it occurred to me that it would be useful to know if all the issues have been added to a volume without having to go page by page to figure it out, I know most normal volumes can be easy since they start at regular numbers but, for example, books from charlton they change their names two or three times so you have a lot of volumes starting and ending with random numbers. So my thought is how about either a check box or dropdown combo box so we can mark a volume as complete/incomplete so we can tell easily if there are issues missing so they can be added. This would show up on all wiki pages.
Here is my first mockup to get an idea of what I mean:
With this one instead of a checkbox it uses a combo box and allows for volumes to be marked as ongoing so that you know a series is ongoing and not just incomplete. This could be extended even further since it would show up on all wiki pages, another entry could be added to the combo box that says like "needs work" so the wiki would get tagged so users would know that a page needs more work done on it, or another entry for "plagiarized" so a visitor would know it needs to be rewritten.
So what do you guys think? could be nice and very useful.
" still very much want voice chat. "That way you can actually hear me rap...right? :D
Other comic sites have this feature, but it'd be nice to see on CV. Each Monday or so, the new comics for that week are posted on a page and users can click a button and "pull" books for that week. Users could see what books they pulled by checking out their pull list on their profile page and access forums that discuss the ongoings that they are pulling. You also find out who else's lists are like yours and look for recommendations. Maybe the titles could have bare bones info prior to the comics actually coming out so as to not create mayhem on the wiki side of things.

You can see the top row is unchecked and incomplete, in edit mode it has a checkbox and in regular wiki mode you get a simple little label and then the bottom row is checked and complete. Doesn't have to be text labels though of course, little images or something could be used.

that, and its a bit faster and you can hear the emotion in words which is important, and leads to less belief of implication and therefore
flamewars. also for blind people, whom im sure in this day and age listen to comic book/superhero movies.
it would make Daredevil very proud...but mostly to hear you rap of course! :)
An option to sort by date instead of issue number please. Some volumes have to use a YYYYMMDD date format for issue numbers where there isn't one on the cover, such as Rover & Wizard. Others have to use YYYY## if the issue numbers reset every year, for instance Look-in. And of course issue 0 or -1 ends up before issue 1 in the list, when it more than likely came out midway through the run i.e. Action Comics.
I WANT FONT YE SPOOKY LASS!
let us upload and use custom font from our image galleries? imagine what this would provide for RPG alone for starters.
and at the very least give this joint some class by switching to some like Zap Raygun 2.0 (the same used bu Irrationals Freedom Force superhero based game franchise).
(sidenote: I'm curious if the Comicvine logo is hand drawn or if its a font set and which if so? anyone? )
Fonts have to be viewable on all computers, so they have to use those that comes with Windows as standard. That's why Arial is used. Saying that, there is a web technology that allows standard text to be replaced by a custom font, stored as vector graphics on the website's server I believe. I've seen it used for the headlines on newspaper websites, and in lots of places at The Beano comic's official website.
Those aren't the only two options actually, there are services online that "host" fonts and using javascript or flash you can utilize the fonts on a website. The two sites you posted (Beano and The Sun) use cufon, other alternatives available are TypeKit, sIFR, and the newer Google Font API to name a few. Using these services any site can use non-standard fonts that are not available on users computers, some are paid solutions and others are free."
