@guttridgeb: The techs would have to solve it.
Ways and Ideas to improve Comicvine
This topic is locked from further discussion.
@RazzaTazz: Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I was referring to the "character appearances option" you mentioned :)
Have an easy way for regular people to make their own podcasts. Also comic vine NEEDs to have PMs where the messages pop up and you don't need to restore the page!
@Mediumflyer7: The PM system is based off of a OS that CV incorporated into its greater whole. It is pretty effective for what we use it for. It would be nice to have automatic updates, I am not sure if it is in the interest of the techs to do so when there are other things that need fixing.

and to change the cover picture of a wiki entry.
This is possible. There is a thread in the E&T forum
@Teerack: different abilities get unlocked when you reach certain point levels, when you hit 1000 you get unmoderated edits of existing pages and once you hit 5000 you get full live edit and you can change default pictures for all page types except issues. You can also rename volumes once you get 1000. Renaming any other pages can only be done by a moderator, same goes for deleting pages and covers hence why we have threads for requests.

@Teerack: Not those levels, above 10k in the wiki allows you to change pictures. Pika failed to mention that only mods can change names.
No, like pika said, it's 5000, not 10k.

Would be nice to add a field for the comics date to the add new issue and volume. See a lot of issues that get added (mosty foreign) but the date never gets updated. Leading to my next issue of comics with no date getting priority on recent issues over those with. Maybe something that can be done with the new site to put issues with no date at the end or use the volumes date for sorting puposes. Finally would be nice to have a mass add feature, for example I find a volume with no writer, but the same one did all the issues, would be nice to add to multiple than one at a time.
How hard would it to be able to make a list of threads like we make lists of everything else? (by the way would also be useful for moderating.).
On issue wiki pages it would be nice to have a "Plot summary" portion and a notes portion for the other information about the issues that is not relevant to the plot.
