I'm done for the night. I've gone through every character in the first five pages of the DC list and found a few others. It's 6 AM and I need sleep.

It's also really disheartening that the staff seemingly can't be bothered to A. roll back the pages or B. address the issue, whether it's by saying 'hey, yeah, we're aware of this and we're doing everything we can to rectify the problem' or 'yes, we're improvising a new limit to points for bypassing moderation', or something else entirely that will help prevent this issue in the future.

The thing that distinguishes CV from other run of the mill comic book forums is it's amazingly in-depth wiki. The fact that it was so easy for not only one, but at least two people to go in and vandalize it and that nobody in a position of authority has even addressed the issue is really disconcerting.

No, they're adding "Beware the Doctor," aren't they? I have only a few wiki points (and I'm not sure how I got those lol) so I cannot help with this effort to rebuild the damaged pages, but I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of those that are disheartened by this wiki vandal. I will say that it was bound to happen sooner or later though - part of the reward for this site's points system is to eventually let people post without moderator approval. That is eventually going to go to some loser's head, and the first time they're bored, p.o.'d, or whatever, they're going to do something like this. As far as patterns, besides the obvious that it's DC characters, the focus appears to be Batman, Superman, and teen characters.

@Billy Batson: How did you find the Zatanna and Catwoman cache? I really want to help you guys combat this before more pages disappear, but my searches are coming up empty!

I'd say, the programmers need to take action RIGHT NOW and just stop all wiki edits from going through. Drastic measures are needed until they (we) can sort this all out. Years of careful work done by thousands of passionate people lost is a friggin tragedy.

EDIT: Nevermind BB, I'm surfin' with Mr. Peabody and Sherman in the wayback machine. Let's fix this!!!

@The Dark Huntress: can you not see more than the top 5 editors for a page? i was thinking you could look at the users with 1 pts and see if any of the usernames resurface on certain pages.

Hmm why would these diabolical feinds only target DC ? Robin , cross reference the editors name with known members of comic forums across the web and do a google search for this so called 'Doctor'. I'm sure he is bragging somewhere and it will only lead us to him. (Is this thee end of the comicbook wiki pages or will the dynamic duo solve the mystery in time? Find out next time , same Vine time same vine channel)

Guys I know its great to be saving all these pages for those saving - but if possible, could you update the page to fit style guide and unbold - bolded words if your copying and pasting? Not now - when you have time obviously - pretty please. Oh and aren't meant to be links in titles or in conjunction with H2 tags.

@G-Man: Well that's good, the only Doctor Hurt cache google will show me is one that already had been vandalized.

But it gave me way too much credit... I deleted info so in reality, it should have only given me one point, right? I wouldn't have done it if I thought that I was going to get as much as I did.

This is bad, it's the second time I've heard about it I really don't know what is wrong with some people.

In the future if this happens again just compile a list of affected pages instead of rushing in guns blazing, with so many users working in disarray you could have been overwriting each others fixes and even using extremely out of date cache's which helps nothing, it is nice that everyone was willing to help out but it has to be organized.

Also with the smaller characters that had very few wiki edits (less then five) on them there was a chance of discovering who the culprit was and that could be lost due to the extra editing, investigate first then fix.
