If a comic is reprinted 33 years later by a different publisher how should that be handled? It has different cover art, a different publisher, different release date, but most of the rest is the same.

@axlrod: unless something has been changed with the comic art it usually doesn't get its own volume, instead the cover would be added as a variant to the original. You sure nothing was done to the reprint? like is it remastered, recolored, anything? what comic is it? it may still be significant enough to get its own volume.

Alien The Illustrated Story, originally published by Heavy Metal and published again by Titan Books last year. There are color variations but that is likely more the age of the original but they have obviously tweaked and cleaned it up a bit. Not the actual inking changed but the colors are a little less faded etc. The titan version has an internal color title page while the original is B&W. The rest is colored in both.

@axlrod: well reading the description of it I would say it should get its own volume, the description I read said it is restored and remastered from the original artwork so that is a big enough difference, just make sure you add a link in the volume description of the new one to the old one and a link in the old ones volume description to the new one that way users know what they are looking at.
