New power suggestion

Summoning or conjuration if you will for those that can summon spirits, demons and whatnot.

What do everyone else think?

Is there anyone who just has that power and not just as something they could do under a greater power (like magic)?

EDIT: I guess Katana fits under that. She summons demons she's killed with her sword but otherwise doesn't use a ton of magic.

You mean like necromancy?

i think summoning and conjuration already fall under other powers.

It's not necromancy. When she kills them they don't die, they just get trapped in her sword so she can summon them in battle later.

I was going to say they would fall under magic, but there are people (like Katana) who only have summoning, not other kinds of magic. It could be it's own thing. We should probably find more characters that do that before it gets created as it's own power though.

I was replying to the original post before, but maybe what you're describing would fall under energy absorption, soul absorption, siphon lifeforce, or siphon abilities. What does any of that has to do with summoning?

I was thinking of the likes of Jackie Estacado, the Darkness who summons demons to do his bidding. Most people who can summon is magic users, yes, but there are a few isn't magic users.
