"Empty" image tags

I have several image tags in my gallery that I don't use anymore. Is there any way to make it so that my gallery doesn't display them at the top?

@xwraith: which ones? you should be able to delete them though in edit mode, you would see an x inside and to the right of each tag.

@pikahyper: I have two that aren't attached to any images, but they still show up the top of the page.

@pikahyper: I didn't see it. I only see something like that when I highlight an image.

@pikahyper: The ones I was trying to delete were "Genderswaps" and "Glasses girls". I only kept each one for a few hours before deciding it was unnecessary.
