The new site allows us editors to give issues a quarterly date, which is a great improvement. However, as of right now, the dates are not seasons, but "Q1, Q2," etc.

When editing, which number should correspond to each season? My first instinct was to give Q1 to Spring issues, since those usually come out first in the comic calendar year, but really winter is the first season of a year (in the northern hemisphere--the fact that there are comics publishers in the southern hemisphere makes it even more complicated).

Q1 = January, February, March

Q2 = April, May, June

Q3 = July, August, September

Q4 = October, November, December

That's how it works. It's not so much about seasons as it is about breaking the twelve months of the year into quarters.

@jedixman: Thanks, other sites do it differently and I couldn't find CV's preferred style on the matter (if it's been posted previously).

@jinxuandi: brand new site, barely any new guidelines have had time to develop.

@pikahyper: I realize that, that's why I wanted to ask first. I didn't want to make any changes that wouldn't stick.

@jinxuandi: we will come up with stuff as soon as possible, we don't want editors hard work going to waste :)
