I am wondering which publisher is best used for listing a character? The current publisher, original publisher, or most famous publisher? Example:

Lady Death Created by Eternity Comics, Most famous is Chaos Comics, and currently Boundless Comics.

I remember some talk about this before.

Current.

If the character is someone like John Constantine who was first in DC then moved onto Vertigo and now appears on (mainly) two series, the other being published by DC and the other by Vertigo, then the publisher is the one who publishes his solo title or where he's appeared more often.

There are some cases where characters are published by dozens of publishers simultaneously, which are listed by owner instead. Disney characters for example.
