July 2014 Character of the Month: Deathstroke

Bleh, I've debated those two against Slade so many times now. I'm going to end up doing it again probably though. Lol.

True! The fact is that, with the popularity the character enjoys lately, it was unfair for the rest of the entries as they had lost from the beginning. I mean i doubt that 20% of the people who voted even know who Cheshire or Lady Shiva are.

It's decided by fan votes,dont like it cool but who are you to talk about what's underrated and overexposed? the people made their choice deal with it and you should read Judas Contract and the thoughts of the creators of that book before calling Slade a pedophile.

Although I don't debate for either side in those battles, I usually go with Black Panther/Wolverine now.

Basically this. I've had too must Stroke. Most of the other characters deserved recognition WAY more.

You do realize there was a Spiderman month already right? So if you want to talk about over-exposed, I think Spidey is far more over exposed than Slade. No reason to be bitter about it. I was pretty bummed that Punisher didn't win the Anti-Hero vote, but it will come around again.

Remember that scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past where Magneto tells Charles he should have fought harder for the things he loves? That's what comes to my mind when I see people who appear to be legitimately disappointed that their character did not win. There's FOUR days to vote. That's so much time to rally troops and potentially shift the tide, silly.

Spidey isn't overexposed he's just loved by many and really the only other character in comics who can rival Batmans popularity.

i don't know guys. Didnt Black Panther run even with not Batman in the recent New Avengers. Hell BP even said not Batman might even be a better fighter than himself. I can see people making a case for Slade if they use that.

this off subject but isnt BP still the King of the Dead? I thought his power boost would have given him a vast upperhand against The Rider(not Batman).

Rider has no showings to judge him. He's obviously not batman and he tanked a trident toss to the shoulder from namor, so his armour seems more durable than batmans.

And going by this logic Namor can stalemate martian manhunter since he stalemated martian manhunters counterpart, that and the fight never actually concluded. Just because a character is based on another character doesn't actually mean they are lesser or equal too. Riders only showing is stalemating black panther.

Besides I actually recall Hickman saying black panther would beat batman anyways. I can't find the quote though. And no king of the dead is only slightly stronger than heart shaped herb. He has all the experiences of the past panthers though.
