I was surprised but I actually picked Black Lightening. He's a respectable, old school, no non-sense hero. Dude was an original Outsider. I think he deserves a little love or at the very least a mini-series, with a good writer too. Someone like Mark Millar or Mark Waid I think could give us a gritty, serious, yet fantastic Black Lightning story.
Martian Manhunter and Shazam for sure, but I seriously think Cyborg needs one for character development in the JL book he is just like there most of the time. Captain Atom is something which I'm looking for in trade and I would like a Dr.Fate one.
Harley was probably my number one. So I'm glad we'll be seeing that.
I think a book based around the Others would be cool. Too bad we've already lost Kahina and Vostok thought.
Also, I think a decent sidekick book is in order. I'm not at all a fan of the current Teen Titans. So perhaps we could use another book about teen heroes. Runaways, anybody?
Plastic Man needs his own series. He's mocked nearly as much as Aquaman for his appearance, antics, and unprofessionalism. He should be treated as viable hero and have an incredible reboot like Aquaman.
Shazam should have his own series. It'd show how he is not simply a lesser version of Superman but rather a godlike character. I would also be delighted to see the Marvel family join him in his various struggles. Black Adam would also be a great central villain.
Cyborg is a young teenager that has yet to prove his worth to comic fans everywhere. He needs his own series with a severe rebooting of his villains. Personally, Cyborgirl would be a great example.
My vote went to the Martian. He was formerly "the heart and soul" of the Justice League before being portrayed as a cold, harsh, and emotionless Martian in StormWatch, Justice League of America, and others. He was such an incredible hero because he'd die to defend innocent people.
It was a tough split for me between Cyborg and Shazam. I picked Cyborg in the end because DC could use more POC headlining titles, not too mention he's been around for so long now as a Leaguer and remains the only one without his own book. Martian Manhunter would be great too but would probably be the most difficult to write stories for, which isn't saying they shouldn't try.
Would also love to see a Zatanna book.
