The new 45?

So yeah, with the green teams cancellation the new 52 will be aparently comprised of 45 books in february

Any guesses for the new titles? Im guessing shazam will be one of them since johns is now working on only one book (justice league), maybe question too to complete the trinity of sin

By my count they're already five series short of 52, making it 47. If Katana, Justice League of America's Vibe, and Superman Unchained are all canceled at the end of the year, as it seems they are, that would make it 44 by January. Then you'd add to that The Green Team: Teen Trillionaires and whatever else gets cancelled then, which may include The Movement, and potentially, based on the solicit, Red Hood and the Outlaws. (Of course that's merely speculation, there's no guarantee that a new arc won't start in that series.) However, if Superman Unchained, most likely or either of the other two are not canceled, then your math is quite correct. However, DC has made it quite clear through their actions that they continuously have no intention of attempting to put out issues of fifty-two different continuous DCnU series each month. Rather, they have constantly been slowly decreasing this number. I'm sure having a weekly Batman series next year will complicate things much further.

And very irresponsible seeing how it's there biggest book at the moment, i mean batman's 75th anniversary is getting more attention from DC then superman's and superman's is still going while batman's has not even started yet...

The Question would be great. I would like to see the Jaime Reyes-Blue Beetle. A young justice comic is probably a fantasy but would be awesome. Another flash comic is probably a pipe dream too, but I would like to see that

I'm hoping we get a Rogues ongoing, I honestly think it could be amazing if done well.

@the_comebacks: I am pretty sure they did a Blue Beetle comic in the New 52 though seeing that series being back would be cool. I was actually thinking about buying it until I found out it was going to get cancelled.

@stormbox: Yeah, but I heard they were cancelling it and renumbering when it becomes Justice League Canada. One of the only reasons I think an Adam Strange book would be good is because he will be appearing in this new Justice League so they might as well bring back all of his Rann stuff too.

@danhimself: Wow you people are ridiculous. Jim Lee has never been the fastest artist in the business in the first place largely due to his detailed style and plus he JUST had a child, and he still has his duties as DC's Co-Publishers. Calling him LAZY of all things is just moronic. Having a book delayed a couple weeks is nothing new in the comic world hell Hawkeye was delayed for 3 or 4 MONTHS THAT is ridiculous. Though the Unchained delay does seem like a bigger deal than it is since DC has almost completely done away with delays since the New 52. This is one of only like 5 delays since 2011.

They are probably letting the book number fall for awhile so they can have a big month where they release a ton of new books. The latest rumor Ive heard indicated that there was going to be

Theres also supposedly a weekly that will spin out of DC's next September event called 5 years later that will explore the DC universe set 5 years in the future.

As with all BC rumors these should all be taken with a grain of salt but BC HAS reported rumors that ended up being true months in advance one of those being the Batman weekly they reported a few months ago.

Honestly, we're going to receive a couple publications that nobody asked for. Instead of a Shazam series, we received an (upcoming) Harley Quinn series. Instead of a Martian Manhunter series, we received a Katana series. Green Team, Teen Trillionaires, and The Movement are all further examples of giving us publications that few wanted.

In the new 52, most JSA characters do not exist on the main Earth any longer. There are now new younger versions of them on Earth Two. There have been several changes to these characters. For example, Lee Travis, the original Crimson Avenger, was originally a white man, but is now a black woman. On this Earth Two, there is no Hawkman. He has been replaced by the new Hawkgirl, Kendra Munoz-Saunders. And on the main Earth, there is a reboot of the Silver Age Thanagarian Hawkman, but no Hawkgirl. Shayera Thal was introduced as Ladyhawk, queen of Thanagar, but was quickly killed off. Stargirl somehow is on the main Earth, though. And in Earth Two, Dr. Fate is a new character named Khalid. Earth Two has actually been a really good book so far. Tomorrow the first issue by the new writer comes out. Hopefully he can keep it as good as Robinson has. While it's not really a JSA team book yet, it is the only one featuring the Golden Age characters and is the home of the JSA for now. I'm really hoping DC brings back pre-Flashpoint continuity. Of course they'd have to merge some aspects of New 52 lore into the official story. That will become more and more difficult to accomplish the further down the road they go about this.

And for those of you looking for Lobo, there's actually two different versions of the character around now. There's the one from the Villain's Month issue, who will be appearing in Supergirl in a couple months. This has been announced as the New 52's official Lobo. Then there's the version in Stormwatch, who I'm hypothesizing is the pre-Flashpoint version of the character. He has been referred to within that title as a universal anomaly. Maybe his having been banned from all versions of the afterlife somehow extends to not being erased from continuity even as all characters including himself are rebooted.
