Favourite DC character.

I was reading a thread about irritating characters and decided to go for something more positive. Just to make it interesting, I'm excluding the biggest: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter and any of the Flashes or human Green Lanterns (I guess there's nothing stopping you picking them, I'm just trying to give some others a little forum time).

Mine would be the Spectre. I like the idea of massive divine power given to a guy out of his depth and forced to play by the rules. I also like the idea of him going around giving ironic punishments.

Jack Hawksmoor is my actual favorite, but to stick with the more mainstream DC I'll say Jaime Reyes, the current Blue Beetle.

Blue Beetle has been a suprise. Normally I'm not a fan of this kind of wholesale reworking, especialy since I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old one, but this Blue Beetle has been consistently good IMO.

I like Green Arrow and The Atom(Hal Jordan is top of my list, but those guys are 1a and 1.5).

Any Silver Age hero whose book(s) were edited by Julius Schwartz - Adam Strange (Mystery in Space), Atom (Ray Palmer), Batman, Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern (Hal), & Hawkman. Schwartz's books were the best DC had (He also edited JLA), Out of them all, I loved Flash the best. Paradoxically I am disappointed that DC appear to be reviving Barry Allen - why? His time is gone, and the Flash mantle has been passed on. They should let him be.

Mine would be Zatanna, but if she counts as a "big" character, then I'll say pretty much anyone else on the Shadowpact team. ^^

I agree to some extent, but as I said on the news comments ( http://www.comicvine.com/barry-allen/22804/news/&newsId=928 ), I think Johns and Morrison will make Barry's return work.
