Everyone by now at least knows that Daredevil on Netflix is a thing they should be watching. Most people who started the show blazed through all 13, hour long episodes. The first season really does play as one, 13-hour long movie. It's pretty intense and there are a ton of moments that will get fans jumping for joy and silently weeping on their couch.

The thing about Daredevil is there are so many great moments on this show. After watching the first season, we decided to take a look at some of the best moments Daredevil had to offer. There were so many to choose from but here's what we loved.

Note: It should be obvious that there are tons of spoilers here.

8. Leland Owlsley Thinking He's One-Upping Fisk

No Caption Provided

That lovable snake-in-the-grass, Leland Owlsley. He spends that whole first season looking for a weakness in everyone around him and exploiting them. It gets to a point where Leland thinks he has Wilson Fisk's back against a wall and pretty much tells Fisk that he's going to take all of his money. That was a HUGE mistake. Leland goes from confident shrew to scared little child in a matter of seconds right before Fisk tosses him down a hole, killing him.

Out of all the villains on the show, this was the one that got what he deserved and the audience loved seeing it. He's not sympathetic, like Fisk, and he's not a complete bad ass like Nobu. He's a little pipsqueak who turned on the wrong man, and watching him die was extremely gratifying. Now, we look to season two for his son, who I'm assuming is the real Owl, to take his place.

7. Young Wilson Fisk Standing Up For His Mother

No Caption Provided

Early on in the series, we get a sense for who Wilson Fisk is, after slamming a Russian's head in a car door for interrupting his dinner date. Wilson Fisk is a giant man-child, but why is that? What could make such a powerful man so emotionally immature? We eventually get our answer, and it is disturbing.

As the season moves forward, we see a young Wilson Fisk, living in NYC with his mother and father. His father is a jerk and has taken money from a loan shark. Papa Fisk forces Wilson to kick a bully while he's down, which traumatizes him. Later, dad starts beating on mom, right in front of Wilson and Wilson beats his father to death with a hammer. It's a powerful and frightening scene that gives the viewer a ton of insight into the character.

6. Everything About Stick

No Caption Provided

One whole episode really put Matt Murdock's history into view, and that whole episode involved Stick. Ok, it's a bit of a cop-out to say a whole episode is a best moment, but when the season is really one 13 hour long movie, 1 hour can kind of be seen as a moment, right?

The episode focuses around Stick teaching a young Matt to hone in his abilities and learn to use them to his advantage. Stick teaches Matt to fight as well, up until the point Matt gives Stick a gift and Stick decides to split. This is a really cool dynamic. It's close to a father/son relationship, which a young Matt Murdock is looking for, but Stick sees this as a teacher/student relationship.

5. Seeing the World Through Matt's Eyes

No Caption Provided

One thing this show did extremely well was not over-explaining Matt's powers to the audience. We aren't told what his powers are. We gradually learn what they are through the story and seeing Matt go into action. It isn't until a few episodes later that we get to understand his powers much better, which is great because this character comes off as even more mysterious.

In episode 5, Matt does explain how he "sees" the world to Claire Temple, and we get a brief shot what Matt sees everyday. He describes it as "everything is on fire" and that's exactly what it looks like. It's brief but straight to the point and a great moment between Claire and Matt.

4. Matt Murdock Puts on the Red Suit

No Caption Provided

After Daredevil picks up his suit from Melvin Potter aka Gladiator. There is this moment where you just want to see what the costume looks like in action. Sure, we all saw posters with Murdock in the Daredevil costume, but it really didn't do it justice. We don't get a good look at what Daredevil is until the final episode of the season.

Then, the camera pans up and Murdock is in the red costume, and I mark out. I've heard people say they don't like the costume, but it fits in perfectly into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also, it looks awesome, so I don't know what those people are talking about.

3. Daredevil and Fisk Beat the Hell Out of Each Other

No Caption Provided

This is the fight the entire season was leading up towards and it does not fail to impress. While it wasn't the best fight scene in the first season, it was one of the better ones, in a first season primarily made up of some pretty fantastic fights. It's what everyone was waiting for. The giant man-child, Wilson Fisk, takes on the vigilante of Hell's Kitchen, in a tight alley way.

Out of the major fight scenes in this series, it's one of the weaker ones because it feels like Matt has the upper-hand for most of the fight, even when he's losing. What makes this a great scene is keeping in mind the first time they fought and Wilson beat him to a pulp. Matt was hurt during the time, so Fisk had an easier time beating him, but with that in mind, this makes this a much more intense scene. Can Fisk win again?

2. Daredevil Takes on The Hand

No Caption Provided

We're getting into the nitty-gritty and said section is just fight scenes. The show isn't just strung together fight scenes though, but there sure are a ton of them. In episode 9, Daredevil takes on a ninja from The Hand, which turns out to be Nobu.

The fight is spread throughout the episode and it's incredibly brutal. Nobu has a bladed weapon on a chain, and he's clearly on top for the vast majority of the fight. It's fast-paced and incredibly thrilling. Plus, Nobu's costume looks pretty fantastic and faithful to the comic book version of that group. It was something completely unexpected and welcomed to the show.

1. The Hallway Fight

No Caption Provided

If you've at least seen the first few episodes of this series, then you know this is one of the best and most memorable moments from the first season. In episode two, Daredevil takes a slew of baddies on in a tight hallway, in one long and brutal fight.

So what makes this fight scene so much better than the rest of the many, fantastic fight scenes on the rest of this show? Simple. It's one continuous shot. Many times, fight scenes try to make things more thrilling by using quick cuts, which also helps with choreography. Here, we get one shot which raises the tension. Also, that's a lot of movements to remember for the actors as well, which makes it a bigger accomplishment. More than anything, the way the fight scene is shot makes this a slow paced a brutal piece that really sticks out.

Bonus: Stiltman's Costume

No Caption Provided

Do you see it? DO YOU SEE IT?! Right behind the dress form is totally Stiltman's suit! While Matt goes to pick up his brand new Daredevil suit, there's a brief moment where you can see what Potter is working on in the background, and it's totally the Stiltman legs, one of Daredevil's lamest characters, whom I love with all my heart.

We could go through ALL of the Easter Eggs in this first season, but there are so many and frankly, this is the best one of them all.

Let's take a moment to remember the life of Stiltman, before he was so quickly taken away from him after Punisher shot a bazooka at his crotch. Not kidding. That actually happen.

You're
You're "stilting" with the angels now, Wilbur

There you have it. Those are some of the best moments from the first season. What were your favorite moments from the show? Let us know in the comment section.

2) when Matt tells the story of putting the child molester in a coma by beating him senseless

3) "shhh, this is important, I want you to know why I'm hurting you, it's not just because of the boy... it's because I enjoy it."

4) Jack Murdock listens to the crowd before Matt finds him next scene.

5) 1st scene introducing Fisk and his soon to be wife

6) First episode knife fight

7) Matt vs Stick

8) Matt puts on the red costume.

I'll add WIlson Fisk looking at the white painting, "It makes me feel alone!"

That was powerful acting.

I knew the hallway fight was going to be No. 1 (assuming this is a countdown, and not just a random listing). It was incredible. I actually laughed at a few parts of it, like the guy getting pelted with a microwave, and Matt stumbling over the doorway as he knocked out the last baddie.

This is why I'm a little wary that DeKnight won't be back for the next season. He's a master at this kind of thing.

The Hallway single shot fight scene was awesome, so was the bowling alley fight. I really liked the roof top scene when DD is looking for the boy.

I really liked the role of the white painting/wall. It was a very unusual thing to see visual art used like that in a comic/action movie.

I have to say I really liked Owlsey, I wish he hadn't been killed.

I was sooo hoping Owsley would get away with trying to one up Fist. I absolutely loved the guy, and got a huge grin on my face watching this little accountant (perfectly played by Bob Gunton) try and take on someone as dangerous as the Kingpin. A big part of me hopes he somehow survived his little tumble.

I don't know if I can pick 8 favorite scenes, but here are my top five. Spoilers will follow.

5) Vladimir staying behind for Daredevil to stop Fisk- Say what you will, but Vladimir was one badass monster of a man. He was beaten, shot, burned, thrown through a floor(or tackled to be more precise) and he still had enough energy to get up and presumably kill police officers. Plus, it was the closet thing to a noble act he could commit.

4) Daredevil vs Nobu - Matt ,for the first time, went up against someone who was vastly more skilled than he was. You can argue that stick is also far more skilled, and I'm sure he is, but given his and Matts relationship I doubt he would have gone all out. Nobu on the other hand was literally cutting Matt down, and the very fact that Matt survived and WON the fight through quick thinking shows just how competent and durable he is in a fight.

3) Daredevil Vs Stick - When he fought Nobu, he was pissed, but this fight so so much more personal I can't help but prefer it more. The whole fight gained a lot more layers too, when Matt discovered the wristband he made years ago. In a way, I think he felt bad, even if him attacking Stick was justified. Plus, the music was absolutely fantastic. I mean, seriously, listen to that sh*t.

2) "I am the ill intent!" - Fisk's speech about how he came to realize that he was the monster all along was perfect, because it was the culmination of his character development. He held on to some childish fantasy that he was the unsung hero of Hells kitchen, when in fact, he was the Devil himself. Him coming to terms with this shows that he became the "man he wanted to become."

1) The Hallway Fight -Not much to say here, other than the fact that this was one of the most badass, well written, directed, filmed and Choreographed fights I've ever seen from a TV show. Absolutely fantastic.

Just finished the series last night so many great memorable moments. To my surprise my wife really enjoyed the series also she is not much for the violence and blood but she got really into the show, so my most memorable moment comes from me wife's reaction to when Fisk kills Ben She doesn't curse very often or say anything really vulgar but she straight up shouted Fisk is a Dick! When that happened and really wanted DD to kill Fisk

@inferiorego These are all great but my personal favorite moment was the "I Am The Ill Intent" speech. That scene where Fisk realizes and accepts he was the bad guy all along gave me shivers.

Also a shutout to that Urich monologue.

It's more of a 12h movie, really. Episodes are around 55 minutes long, give or take 2-3.

I'll do top 5.

5) Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock meeting in the art gallery. The tension in the room was amazing with Matt knowing exactly who Fisk was, and Fisk sizing Matt as he cautiously does with all people he meets. I thought the scenario was great and didn't feel forced at all.

4) Wilson Fisk killing Ben Urich. Though it resulted in one of the worst decisions in the show (IMO) with the death of Ben Urich, the scene was very powerful. Ben finally decides to be the reporter we've always known he was, and it further demonstrates Fisk's humanity when he loses his mind about his mother being brought into it. I don't know why, but that scene really resonated with me.

3) Jack Murdock winning the fight and reveling in being "somebody" for young Matt. It was a pivotal point in establishing exactly who Jack was as a father. He knew his life was over if he won, but he couldn't let his boy down. He set Matt up with the gambling on the fight and made him proud. Listening to the crowd afterward was pretty powerful since we all knew what was coming next.

2) The Hallway Fight. Very well choreographed and done. Set a good tone for the rest of the series. Everything else about it has already been said.

1) "I am the ill intent!". There is something about a good villain that always shines more than the hero with me. Fisk's biblical realization that he IS the bad guy and always has been was amazing. The acting, the tone, the snips of everyone else enjoying themselves because they think they've won, all of it was perfectly balanced and expertly handled. I couldn't help but feel, that even though the show was about Matt becoming Daredevil, it revolved around building up to Wilson Fisk becoming the Kingpin.

true, but I think ben is crucial to who daredevil is and how he operates. I thought it was written and handled well, and maybe even necessary, I just think he needed to live. Ben Urich is a pillar in DD and pretty much always has been.

This was definitely in my top 5 (if not number one). That meeting when Matt clearly wasn't expecting to meet Fisk was eerie and epic in its own regard. It was an interesting way for characters of opposing forces to meet.

with her brashness all season and Wesley's calm demeanor, I honestly wasn't surprised as soon as he put the gun on the table. he was careless and she had shown that she was a fighter. as soon as she pulled the trigger, I thought "Fisk is going to flip his s***" that was pretty much all I thought about it

One of the top moments for me was when Matt tells Foggy about how he became a vigilante. I loved how he just beat the guy senseless in the rail yard and then goes, "you touch your daughter again, and I will know!" and then kind of loses himself when he keeps punching him. Then the camera pans up from his bloody hands and he slowly turns and walks away like he left his life of ignoring the sounds of the city suffering and the rage from his fathers death and Sticks abandonment behind

Then Foggy eventually says "what if you just can't stop yourself?" and Matt coldly replies: "I don't want to stop." Man, that was great.
