Rosario Dawson Returning to Daredevil and Maybe More

Marvel announced today that Rosario Dawson is coming back for the next season of Daredevil. On the show, Dawson played Claire Temple, who became the love interest for Daredevil, while stitching up his battle wounds.

This deal also says that her character can appear in other Marvel properties as well, so she won't just be on Daredevil. There's the potential to appear on other Netflix shows as well.

“After working with Rosario in the first season, we knew instantly that we had to have her back for our second,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb. “Claire Temple proved a fan favorite in Season 1, and we can’t wait for fans to see all the plans we have for her next.”

AKA Jessica Jones premieres this winter and Luke Cage is coming in 2016. While this deal is still new, there's a chance fans could see Dawson on either of these or the upcoming Iron Fist or Defenders show, planned for down the road.

Great news. She's a fantastic actress, and her character is really interesting. I'd love to see her in the other shows (particularly Iron Fist). Also this makes me really want Doctor Strange 2 to be BKV and Marcos Martin's Dr. Strange: The Oath with her as a costar.

@drellassassin: Claire and Strange's dynamic was great in The Oath. The book itself is a must-read. I hope the movie takes some inspiration from this. Maybe this version of Claire can do a crossover too.

She confirmed a while back that she would be in Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

Sweet! I hope she becomes/stays Matt's love interest instead of Karen. Nothing against her, but Claire's a better character.

Being that Claire Tempe was a significant supporting character early on in Luke Cage Hero for Higher, I had already assumed that she'd end up in the Luke Cage series.

What was wrong with her in Season 1? The way they did it was really cool by having her say "I'm out, I can't do this". It made her character believable and stronger for it.

Was she?Well that's great.DD doesn't need to be smooching with Cage's love interest.Plus,I want Elektra.

I seem to be alone in this but I really don't get the point of her character. They just wasted a bunch of time on her with no payoff. But the actress is good so maybe they'll do more with her next season.

@drellassassin: I hate it when they did that in this show. Its been done so many times before and it is much better to just have an actual relationship IMO.

I understand introducing her in DD since the heroes of the streets need a doctor, but with all the much better and intraresting love interest DD has I don't see why she's returning for anything more than an episode or two.I'd rather see her screen time given to Elektra,Echo,Typhoid Mary or Dakota North.Let her be in Luke Cage where she's origianlly supposed to be,he's gonna need some familiar faces.

Great news, I would love to see Night Nurse show up in all of the Marvel Netflix shows.

Anything with Rosario gets my vote.

Basically what I came to say.

Makes sense. Night nurse popped up in a number of street level hero books after first being introduced. Every hero needs a discreet patchup once in a while.

She looks a little like Icejjfish in that picture.
