Badly, Cyclops is THE X-Man, it's fine having Logan as the main character, but Scott is not a bit-player. He is a walking nuclear weapon. He's Xavier's Hammer, and he was treated as nothing but a boy scout that sooked over his girlfriend dying. His death at the hands of Jean was an atrocity. He was ok in the first film, and barely in the second, and was a freaking plot device in the third. Cyclops fans were royally screwed yet again, though this time it wasn't Marvel's fault.

Okay in the first film, seemed like he started developing a little too much cockiness
and rich boy idiosyncrasies in the latter films. I know i might get blasted for this, but
for its many faults i liked the actor that played him in Wolverine's film better. He had
more of that calm and cool, yet deeply troubled aura about him.

Yeh, he was pretty much the sole good point of X-Men Origins.

Cyclops really got screwed in the films... I did not like the guy who portrayed him in the 3 main X films, the one in Origins was only on screen for about 4 mins tops so I couldnt judge him well. I think the point of all the films were only to make Wolverine look good... So sad...

I know. It's just depressing. Sabretooth was ruined though because he was Wolverine's brother, and post-adamantium bonding, Wolverine's bitch.

Yep, get rid of the brother stuff, the adamantium bullet and baraka-pool, and it was a perfectly watchable film.

@FadeToBlackBolt:@joshmightbe:
I can give it a few points i enjoyed as well. Wolverine fit into the superhero films that i think would have went
over at least okay if they hadn't made some of the larger artistic license changes that they did. (Deadpool
was probably the biggest flaw), ok and the mistakes (Gambit and Wolverine in the helicopter and what became
of Remy's accent for example). I did like Blob and the Negreanu cameo for example. And having a speaking Sabretooth
played by a good actor was a plus as well.

the actor pretty much forgot he was supposed to have a Cajun accent. pretty much went like...

" Um...hey, Gambit. You feeling alright? Your voice sounds funny? "
" My voice? What do you mean dude? Oh, i cough, cough, What is dis now mon ami? "

Wait... Yes I DO remember something about Storm. She killed Toad in the first one, she disappeared in the 2nd one for some reason, and then she tried to do stuff in the 3rd but nobody remembers that one...

He was terrible and a largely forgettable character in the films. But it wasn't really his fault, Storm and Wolverine took too much scenes.

The character was okay in the first one, partly in the second one until Jean sacrifices herself to save everyone then he became too whiny.  Jean killing him in the 3rd one made me hate X3 forever, not that any of the movies are in my collection but that was wrong on so many levels.  He may have been a crybaby but for her to kill the man she loves...bad, very, very bad on the producers part.  I like the actor who played him, he's a good actor and a versatile one, the fault lies on the writers and directors for how they decided to portray the character.

Seriously.  The whole series was about Wolvie stealing the show... all the Cyke moments I remember are Wolvie ones... the flippin the middle blade, Wolvie stealing his bike, Wolvie stealing his girl... granted it is hard to act from behind a giant visor so his stoic blandness is at least explicable but as a character he seemed short changed.  Wait, wait... I recall one moment... Cyke incompetently blasting open a train terminal because he doesn't have the sense to close his eyes the instant his visor's gone.  Yeah... shining series of Cyclops memories. :P

Cyclops got the shaft in this film.  He needs to have a more central role for it to be at least somewhat true to the comics

He got exactly what he deserved, the scene where Phoenix kills him was the best part of the movie.

Casted perfectly, written sooo poorly it was disgusting. I'm not a huge fan of Cyclops, though I've always respected him, and would even say I like him lately. Those movies really hurt people's perception of him. People stood up and applauded when Jean fried him in the film which shall not be named. I admit I cheered too, because if that's the Cyclops we were going to get, then I'd rather them have given him the Gambit treatment.

The X-movies did to Cyke what Superfriends did to Aquaman. Two great charecters screwed over

This is the effect it had on non comic readers. I had a comic book class in 8th grade (most awesom class ever) the teacher played X-1 and we all had to stand up and say our favorite charecter. every one said wolverine EVERYONE not even the girls said jean grey or storm no bullies said magneto the bald kid didn't say professor x they all said wolverine. @ssejllenrad: Yeah the teacher was really more of an unpopular art teacher who wanted to run an easy class for popularity with studants. the kids also didn't read they either wanted an easy/un- academic class (can't blame them i was in movie class also), were manga heads, or read Sonic comic. I was the only one there who actuall read comics
