You mean like Kidclops is having with his dad? Cyclops really isn't a character that works by himself. He's spent too long as part of the X-Men to be seen as anything else.
I actually agree with you, but Cyclops simply does not work that well as a solo character. Would be nice to see him in another team, like the Starjammers as leader, but I think that's about it for him.

Not exactly, nope. He's supposed to be there for a short vacation with his dad. There was nothing mentioned about him staying with the Starjammers for the long-run.

@avenger85: I agree about our Cyclops not working well as a solo character, not from being uninteresting mind you, but because his leadership is a very big important aspect of his character, but I would go a step further and say not only does he not work well as a solo character, I'd say he doesn't work well as a team leader except of the X-Men. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Cyclops fan, I just think his character is and has always been defined by leading the X-Men both in-universe and outside of it, and that him leading any other team would just feel out of place to me. Like Reed Richards leading the Avengers, or Captain America leading the Fantastic Four for that matter. So that idea doesn't appeal to me at all on a personal level.
I think a limited solo run (4-6 issues) would be good. something that would lead into the formation of a new x-team (lead by him). I liked Gillens run, so something like that with some big hitters. and him and emma back together and in full control of their new powers.
