I'm guessing cyborg superman is now a kryptonian?

If you want to be spoiled, he's now Zor-El aka Kara's father.

Which really irks me off that DC have destroyed another compelling character in the New 52 for 'fresh change.'

why not create a separate villain instead of altering an already established one?

NEW 52 EVERYONE!

Coming next :

Lex Luthor is Superman's long lost cousin.

Darkseid is Jor-el

Zod is actually Parasite.

Batman is Doomsday

On a serious note, there is still hope, maybe when they're done with this guy(and I've a feeling it'll be sooner than later) they can have Henshaw take over his body,he's just your everyday cyborg not a techopath.

And the worst part here is that it wont help Superman in the slightest,it's done for Supergirl.

Cyborg Superman and Lobo never stood a chance

#14 Posted by SandMan_ (4528 posts) - - Show Bio

No it seems so. Mongul is still on GL.

#15 Posted by DecoyElite (4019 posts) - - Show Bio

They really need to start giving Supes more villains. He's gonna run out of rogues at this rate.

#16 Posted by kasino (1490 posts) - - Show Bio

last Son of krypton should never be uttered.

#17 Posted by SandMan_ (4528 posts) - - Show Bio

@decoyelite: yes, I can see it now:

Lex will be given to Flash

Doomsday, Zod to GL

Darkseid to WW

Bizarro to MMH

Oh lord. The ending of Trinity War made me give DC another chance, and now this.

Anyway...I still like DC. But the emotional attachment is getting harder and harder to repair.

@sandman_: My Supes knowledge fails me, I'm out of villains.

#28 Posted by SandMan_ (4528 posts) - - Show Bio

@decoyelite: kryptonite man, Blaze and Satanus, Wraith, Preus, Atomic Skull, Helspont, H'el, Atlas and many more.

#29 Posted by DecoyElite (4019 posts) - - Show Bio

@sandman_: Blaze and Satanus already got moved to Captain Marvel pre New 52 IIRC. Isn't Helspont an Authority villain?

@sandman_: So he stole someone else's villain for once? Good for Supes.

#32 Posted by SandMan_ (4528 posts) - - Show Bio

@decoyelite: Well he also stole Hector Hammond, take that GL!

#33 Edited by DecoyElite (4019 posts) - - Show Bio

@sandman_: Really? Huh, always thought Hector would end up getting tossed over to MM.

I hear you man. The New 52 is making it harder to really appreciate DC on a daily basis. But at least they aren't Marvel.

Honestly I don't see how one is worse than the other right now. Marvel has done some stupid stuff but it's got some great books to counter that, same thing with DC.

You're right actually. But it's personal preference over the companies two approaches. Despite the New 52 screwing up continuity and renovating characters pointlessly, Marvel take active joy in making the fans angry through things like Superior Spider-Man and Avengers Arena. That's what I don't like about Marvel despite loving Thor: God of Thunder and Indestructible Hulk.

#38 Posted by DecoyElite (4019 posts) - - Show Bio

@lvenger: I think it's not Marvel but those specific creators that seem to take a joy in what they do. Plus we've seen the same kinda attitude from some DC guys.

#39 Posted by Lvenger (18277 posts) - - Show Bio

@decoyelite: Yeah but it's the more high ranking creators/execs who have a habit of doing that. And yes agreed again on DC.

#40 Posted by DecoyElite (4019 posts) - - Show Bio

@lvenger: Oh well, hopefully it's a thing that'll pass.

#41 Edited by Lvenger (18277 posts) - - Show Bio

@decoyelite: Since it's only started in the last decade or so, I doubt it'll be passing any time soon.

#42 Posted by DecoyElite (4019 posts) - - Show Bio

@lvenger: Eh, if fans keep reacting really badly to it they might be forced to stop or at least learn how to troll better.

Marvel's been doing the same without the reboot though. DC needed a reboot to screw things up whereas Marvel does it naturally.

Marvel Now was a reboot in disguise. There's a reason most comics went back to number 1. :P

@sandman_: Prankster to Batman.

well Prankster has already been given to Nightwing.

Oh no!!!! but you cant take him!!!! he's Hal's lamest villain!!!!!!

@sandman_: Really? Huh, always thought Hector would end up getting tossed over to MM.

If they wanted to give J'onn a lame villain, they would have brought back the human squirrel.

They should bring Maxima back, especially since Clark isn't married anymore but in a relationship. [not that Maxima would care] Anyway.

worst of all it means that the Death and Return of Superman didn't happen anything like it did Pre52...none of the replacement Supermen were there save for maybe Steel...it also means that Hal Jordan's history has been changed as well
