Valiant!!!

But I read everything.

Pretty much my thoughts. My DC pull list grows every month while my Marvel side shrinks.

Vertigo (DC) Is what I read the most.

I read from most comic companies except Vailant and not very much IDW. I completely dropped Marvel after they cancelled Venom and I believe Scarlet Spider was getting cancelled so no point in buying there crap anymore.

Posted by AllStarSuperman

almost all the comic I read are from DC and 3.99

Posted by Wolverine08

Marvel Now is currently much better than the New 52 IMO. Loving Marvel right now.

Posted by Xwraith

I'm not reading any Marvel books right now, and I'm only reading Green Arrow from DC.

Valiant is my favorite publisher.

the only marvel titles i get now are hawkeye and superior foes of spiderman (best book). too many avenger and x-men books that are not worth the price imo. and guardians has really dropped off lately

Posted by Blackdog2009

@wolverine08: lol in your dreams! New52 is the reason Marvel Now even exists. Clam up and be grateful dude.

With that said, I have come back to Marvel... Thor, Wolverine and The Punisher have been good runs.

@blackdog2009:

The New 52 is a complete, universal reboot. Marvel Now is just a softcore reboot re launching and renumbering certain titles. So they are not very similar. I don't have to be "grateful" towards what I do and don't prefer. Don't be such a d%clk

How well is the new 52 turning out?

In some.

Very little imo

99 percent of it sucks. I just want to see how Forever Evil turns out to see if I am relieved of my disappointment.

@theincrediblecj10: You're broke, and yet you can afford to buy 19 comics a month? Priorities, man!

99% lmao. Aquaman, batman, flash, green arrow, wonderwoman, batman/superman, forever evil, batwoman, nightwing, batman and robin, GL, superman unchained, earth 2 (got a lot better last couple issues), swampthing, animal man.

id say maximum 50% of it sucks

Was that supposed to prove something?

And Forever Evil is like,on what,issue 2?

And I think I was referring to history and in terms of the general scope of the universe...just saying.

I've never been a heavy sider with either, but I tend to lean towards Marvel more.

Dc is more gimmicky than Marvel and won't venture to far out usually if they don't use their most popular characters

Edited by batfreak1000

Great stuff CJ, im a dc guy all the way the characters are just more intriguing and make me keep coming back to them! Marvel is ok IMO some of the characters are just complete garbage, while others I love! Can't wait for the next one!

Posted by The Stegman

I pull about 32 titles, 28 of those are DC with a few Image and Dark Horse thrown in too. Not a fan of Marvel.

I like neither, but I'd have to go with this. ^

You just made me realize that I need to cut down my pull list. I might just drop some DC to balance it with marvel

Posted by Cap10nate

Personally, I prefer Marvel to DC. I have always found Marvel to be more engaging. I started out with 10 titles in the New 52 and it has dwindled down to 2 and maybe 1 if I decide to drop Batman. My Marvel pulls have gone up to a dozen from 8 or so with Marvel Now. I like individual characters in DC but don't really care about what's going on in the Universe. On the other hand, I care as much about the Marvel U as I do about my favorite characters. I think Marvel is producing some very high quality titles with Thor, Hulk, Infinity, New Avengers, and Secret Avengers among others.

Valiant is rapidly approaching Marvel's level of interest for me. I am currently pulling all their titles and am very happy with all except for Shadowman which I find lacking. I am very excited about Unity being released and see where it takes the U.

Pretty much my thoughts. My DC pull list grows every month while my Marvel side shrinks.

I'm the exact opposite. I've dropped Katana,

RHaTO, JL, Batwing ( pretty much everything else's been cancelled already). Keeping Talon, Nightwing, JLA, GL, GLC, New Guardians , Earth 2 ( maybe) and Aquaman.

I already keep up with most of Marvels titles as Infinity is kicking much ass.

Edited by RulerOfThisUniverse

I much prefer DC. In my opinion, they have more complex and interesting characters, better current creative teams, and overall better business models. Why pay 3.99 for a digital Marvel comic when I can pay 1.99 for a digital DC comic?

Edited by Wolverine08

Infinity is also MUCH better than Forever Evil right now in my opinion. Jonathan Hickman is killing it.

@wolverine08: Every Marvel thing is superior to its DC counterpart in your opinion...

I read a lot more DC. I started out with a lot of Marvel titles but dropped quite a few of them, unfortunately. Both are great companies, though. I just prefer DC's stories, art, and characters.

@rulerofthisuniverse: The question is asking which company is doing better and that's his opinion. Advertising would be going into random threads and saying which company is better

I manage my money to the dime so I can still get all the comics I love and survive.. Plus I live on a college campus with a meal plan, I'm fine haha!

Fair enough.

Hey guys I was giving my opinion on the current state.. I don't hate Marvel, just don't really care for what they are putting out currently.. I hate their events to be honest though, to many and to long in my opinion.. Sure DC has their major events but they are shorter more compact and better... I stopped with Marvel events after AvX because I though it was a waste of money.. I just love comics and would choose DC given the ultimatum that's all haha

Posted by RulerOfThisUniverse

@norrinboltagonprime21: No, t was fine when he stated his opinions on the companies, but then in response to people saying they liked Forever Evil, he said "Infinity is also MUCH better than Forever Evil right now in my opinion." I simply responded to that random comment. Don't make a big deal were there is none.

DC puts out more and better stories/crossovers, Marvel has more and better characters.

DC needs to focus more on their b/c-listers while Marvel needs to put out better events rather than rehashing old ideas IMO

@rulerofthisuniverse:

Indeed! Marvel rules! The one thing I'd say DC does better is with consistency of the quality of their events. But Infinity is during incredible for Marvel this year!

Posted by Wolverine08

@theincrediblecj10:

Infinity is pretty awesome right now IMO. Best event Marvel has put out in years. Jonathan Hickman's careful set up of Infinity for about year with Avengers and New Avengers runs is resulting in a high quality event.

Posted by RulerOfThisUniverse

@maccyd: Or because it's not one of the "Big Two;" the by far most popular and best selling comic companies. Valiant, on the other hand, is a very small slice of the unimportant cake that we call "Everything Else." :P

I do think Aqauman, Flash, and Green Arrow are currently some great DC titles! The art in those series are also beautiful.

@tyrus: @tyrus: 2 things:

1) I was kidding. Worlverine08 is one of my best friends on this site.

2) If I was being serious, I would combat that with the response that even tough I prefer DC to Marvel, but I don't say that DC is better at absolutely everything besides the consistency of event quality. They both have their flaws.

Posted by RulerOfThisUniverse

@wolverine08: And you're the Wolverine fanboy. I can point fanboy fingers at people all day if necessary. :)

Posted by RulerOfThisUniverse

@wolverine08: There is no such thing as a better fanboy. They all suck the exact same amount. (Pst Avengers movie fanboy pst :P)

Posted by Wolverine08

@rulerofthisuniverse:

Blah! You only say that because you can't fanboy as well as me! I am the ULTIMATE fanboy!

Edited by RulerOfThisUniverse

@wolverine08: I would argue with that...but I just got you to call yourself the ultimate fanboy. Looks like I win here. :P
