@papad1992: This happened when everyone, students, Cyclops, Emma, Erik, everyone realized they are at a point where they must change the way they were in order to continue to grow and become what they are to become. The adults powers are all jacked up so they must learn to depend and teach the younger students the best they can so they can survive. The young students must trust in the experience being taught to them. Minders hair is just a physical representation of this change taking place amongst everyone on the team.

Thanks for the update... but I already know all of this. I just dropped the book recently and just wanted know know what's up with the hair (which obviously happened after I dropped the series!). But thanks for the info.
