Read The "I, Zombie" Prequel

Last week Vertigo revealed the cover and variant cover to the upcoming I, Zombie comic by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred. Earlier this week, Vertigo also made available the seven page prequel story that ran in The House Of Mystery Halloween Annual back in October. 
 
The first issue will be released in May. What is it about? 

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Dylan is a 20-something gravedigger in an eco-friendly cemetery. Once a week she must eat a human brain to keep from losing her memories, but in the process she becomes consumed with the thoughts and personality of the dead person until she eats the next one. She sets out to fulfill the dead person’s last request, solve a crime, or right a wrong.

Already read the prequel, 'cause I read the House of Mystery issue.  I'll give the series a chance, mostly due to Allred's art.

All the other comics in that annual featured characters that have at some point in their history been apart of the DC universe (Constantine, Xanadu, House of Mystery, etc.), and due to the events of the issue it leaves you wondering if this world will be tied to the DC univerese or will have some sort of crossover 
 
either way I'm excited for this comic, love Allred's art and of course the story as well though I've yet to read Roberson on other then Fables-related stuff

Love the artwork, always have loved Allred from X-Statix. Looks good to me, heck I could see them making a TV show down the road.
