X-Men: Original Sin #1

Wed October 8th

Marvel's given us an early look the X-Men one-shot.  I didn't quite realize that everyone still is unaware that Professor X is still alive.  Guess it makes sense if you think about it.  He's only interacted with a few people.  Guess word doesn't travel too fast.  Check out the last image in this preview.  Now picture a big old grin on my face.

"ORIGINAL SIN" PART 1
WHAT IS THE SECRET REASON WOLVERINE JOINED THE X-MEN?

The X-Men event of the fall begins in this one-shot! For years, Logan has been a man without a past, whose memories existed only as conflicting fragments. And Charles Xavier has been a master of his own mind and others. Now the tables are turned, and as WOLVERINE struggles to rescue his son, DAKEN, from the evil and darkness that have consumed him, PROFESSOR X comes face-to-face with the most terrifying secret of all! Beginning here and continuing in the pages of X-MEN LEGACY and WOLVERINE: ORIGINS this month and next, ORIGINAL SIN is sure to turn your expectations on their head!

Yeeeah!

Written by Daniel Way and Mike Carey.  Art by Mike Deodato and Scott Eaton.  Rain Beredo does some sweet coloring too.

I really like Carey's stuff, and Eaton's art.
I have never been a fan of WO before but that was mainly due to Dillon's art....

Deodato is great! I loved his run on Spider-Man a while back. This looks good.

I finally read the book..... I'd rather read Tarot for one year and nothing else.... Original Sins was terrible.

It wasn't interesting, nothing happened, and it was a whole bunch of Wolverine brooding.

He is the best at what he does...

But you can't blame him for brooding.  He has a lame-o son named Daken.

she was being whiny so was scott why he didnt beat him two inches into the ground i dont know but. What do you expect Wolverine to do tell her to go away with a shoe. No hes gonna pimp smack her.

(yes i know im a dick)

but i really enjoyed the issue.

Was this the issue with Lady Sinister talking to Daken?  I just read the first few pages and skimmed the rest.  It's at home somewhere.

Why would he hit her though? it was so unnecessary, and she wasn't even diamoned.

cause she was trying to stop him. Logan was very close to the edge to begin with so yeah her fault. And yes this was the one with Daken
#33 Posted by pixelized (62882 posts) - - Show Bio

She tried to stop him from hurting Cyclops, she didn't try to give him a seizure or anything. So his reaction to her running to the defense of her boyfriend was too over the top. And then she sat back like a punk and proceeded to converse with him...yeah this issue was garbage

He was making a point, Cyke has gone soft. 10 years ago he would have snapped an decked Logan without a moments thought. Yes jean dying was depressing but GET OVER IT LOVER BOY

and ill agree she should have fried his ass. but still she got it the way

#35 Posted by pixelized (62882 posts) - - Show Bio

How has cyclops gone soft? he's more cut throat now than he's ever been.

A shove would have been more than enough....her legs left the ground

You have to admit Pix if you have been reading xmen this long if Logan ever did that to Jean. Cyke would have cooked his ass, and yeah it was a bit over the top but he got his point across.

#37 Posted by pixelized (62882 posts) - - Show Bio

Scott was already gone by then...he walked off in the previous page before she got hit.

I know that but my first point is that he has gotten soft (i never really meant for that statement to go into reacting to wolv hitting emma) After Wolv hit him he should have gone crazy would have made for a more entertaining fight.

but oh well

He's small, ugly and hairy: how is he badass?

Cyclops would have slaughtered him in a non-Wolvie centric story.
#43 Posted by Darkchild (40624 posts) - - Show Bio

I wasnt refering to Wolverine, Wolves stopped being badass after the millionth time he survived getting nuked/burnt/shot watever

I thought u were commenting on me saying Cyclops has gotten soft my bad

Sorry man I wasn't, but I agree with you about Cyclops.... he's a legend and he needs more slack.
#45 Posted by Darkchild (40624 posts) - - Show Bio

yeah hes a legend but hes not really doing what he should. He should have curbstomped Wolves ass right then an not listened to Emma
