Of all the unlikely partnerships, Valkyrie and Red Skull's daughter Sin seem like the oddest couple ever. That's right, even odder than Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. The latest teaser image for Marvel's 'Fear Itself: The Fearless' which is scheduled to hit stores this October, 2011 shows "an angel and a demon" who will hold the fate of the world in their hands.

I'm sure you can distinguish who the angel and who the demon are based on the teaser...right? The big question is, will these two ladies be forced to work together against a cause greater than Sin's? And if so, what will unite them and bring them to work together? Check out the solicit and full teaser below and let us know if you'll be buying into the extension of the 'Fear Itself' story with 'Fear Itself: The Fearless.'

Also, who can deny Frank Cho's very pretty art below?

I guess that's interesting.

Sin looks so bloody ridiculous... Also, after what just happened in Fear Itself, I do hope they have a valid reason for this... :P

Well they are asking Who will succeed? so I assuming they are fighting each other not teaming up

Wait, if Sin's the demon, and then there's an angel in the picture, I guess Valkyrie is God?

Nice art I cannot dispute that but the fear itself thing has become venomously annoying.

#6 Posted by bingbangboom (746 posts) - - Show Bio

Yeah I don't think it is a team up but rather a book featuring both characters with something loosely based on Fear Itself, possibly before it started considering Sin looks different.

Also does anyone notice the floating shotgun infront of Sin?

It's not floating... You can clearly see the straps that are hanging it from her neck?

I love Sin so much, she needs to do more!

I came to the decision not to follow Fear Itself to it's conclusion.
But, my key interest in Fear Itself was to see the development of Sin's character,
which has been few and far between with the exception of the start.
That and I love Valkyrie. I might be sold on this one.

I think that angel might be the personification of "fate."

I'm ready for Fear Itself to be over and done with.  Although Siege was no Civil War, I think they had the right idea in that events don't need to be 7 or 8 issues long.  As slowly as Fear Itself has moved, I think It probably could have been done in 4 or 5 issues, with the .1 issues tacked on after the main event is over.

It kind of feels like this whole event is centered around putting Steve Rogers back in the Captain America uniform and elevating Sin's status in the Marvel Universe with little substance in between.

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, lol. The funny thing is I just saw those movies not a few hours ago before I saw this article so that's funny as hell.  Just curious if anyone else will actually get what you mean, Babs, lol. And yes, I can quite clearly understand who the demon and angel is. Valkyrie is CLEARLY the demon whereas Sin is the angel. Heh.  No but really the artwork looks GREAT!

love the art. valkyrie lookin HOT. even sin has a nice rack. but seriously ........ somebody needs to put a bullet in that bitch's head for what she did to my mam bucky

#20 Posted by coolfurby (2 posts) - - Show Bio

Sin is literally a NAZI. Valkyrie should be ripping this bitches head off not working with her. I can't think of any foe worse than the Nazis. Come on.

She's the ultimate "butterface."

Just try to remember back when "redhead" only described her hair.

Sit tight, folks.  I've got a million of them.  Okay, no I don't.  That was it.  I just said that because I felt like I was on fire.

Just like Sin at the end of Cap RebornBOOM!  AT THE BUZZER!

As much as I would love to buy/read more Valkyrie stuff, it's not enough to get me to pick up The Fearless, not even cheesecake teaser art can force me to overlook the crap that is Fear Itself.

Frank Cho just CAN'T draw an ugly chick... he has to try and make Sin look sexy. She looked fugly in the previous stories, the stuff Brubaker was working on... and then along comes Cho and now she's got a knock-out gorgeous body... and a not-so-hideously-burned face. XD

stupid
#26 Posted by Baddamdog (2223 posts) - - Show Bio

I really don't think they're 'teaming up'. In the solicits it says that Valkyrie is tracking Sin down. Not working with her. Even in this teaser it says 'who will succeed?' Implying that they're working against each other.

#27 Posted by thanobomb1124 (2015 posts) - - Show Bio

And put a box on her head?@John Valentine

#28 Posted by BransonHuggins (97 posts) - - Show Bio
@SuperXAsh: It's because, as much as I hate saying this, women are objectified in comics.  Seriously, you think that a real Super Hero would wear half of those costumes?  Let alone any women that didn't want to be objectified.  Ms. Marvel looks like she stepped out of a porn.  Hell, look at White Queen, that women looks like she just got done having a train ran on her.  It's a little ridiculous.  Sorry, but not every women has 36 DD breast, and a figure that is that off a model.  Not real in the least.
#29 Posted by BransonHuggins (97 posts) - - Show Bio
@Kaveman: She's not working with her, the title was misleading.  Read what is written on the actual solicitation, and you will notice that it says Who Will Succeed.  It's a fight, they're not working together on anything other then this cover.

Guess they want Sin to stay a live a little longer even though she killed an Avenger already.

I can't imagine a scenario where they would work together. I guess that's what makes for a good comic though.

looks like they're really trying to push Valkyrie after this god awful event ends she'd been prominently showed in most of the teasers

@DMC
what do you mean by cheese cake art?
#39 Posted by movieartman (1439 posts) - - Show Bio

um PEOPLE does no one remember how sexy sin was before her face got burnt off?
ok let me remind you

the second pic is my own art

ok SERIOUSLY her body wouldnt have changed

yes cho did make her breast a bit big but who cares

and those that say that her whole body should now aways be drawn as repulsive are full of it

this whole pic is incredibly beautful

NO one draws valkyrie (original or ultimate) better than frank cho
id really like to see him draw sif

and NO there is nothing so far that looks like they will be teaming up
that would be pure and simply upsurd

Finaly somthing else i love about cho's woman specialy here
is that they are without question beautful and attractive but they are also clearly fit and resonably muscular witch ads realism

lastly alot of people have compared frank cho to arther adam
and that is a very close call but im really gonna have to go with cho
like her compare there valkyries

while on the whole chos is better one thing i like about adams here is the reflection in the metal somthing i feel cho should work on in his art

when he draws metal he tipicaly leaves it blank and un reflective

I am so upset they felt the need to do this to Sin. I liked her as the psychopathic Teenager. Now, I hardly find her even remotely interesting. So, I will not be picking it up.

When having to choose over a disfigured Nazi and a hot, kick-ass Valkyrie, there's no question who I'm choosing.

Go Brunhilde!!
