These look realy cool and all, but what's with the fringed capes in every outfit? I get why he needed them to be Batman, but it doesn't really scream 'macho-man' with the cowboy motif. It works on the pirate, but not so much the beard. Also, the pilgrim hat is a bit much.
 
I was actually hoping for a late 1800s sort of Sherlock Holmes look. Why do writers always forget he's a detective too?!! I wanted to see him hunt down the original Jack the Ripper killer.

Witch-hunter and Pirate Batman also look pretty cool, but I don't know how much of a threat cavemen would be against Bruce Wayne... Maybe if he fights dinosaurs... XP

I understand that the Omega Sanction is not supposed to "kill" you, but force you to live through different times and places, each one worse than the last. Physically, Bruce Wayne is dead, but like they say, the spirit lives on.  It feels a little too soon to me, even though it has been a year. I hope this story completely clears everything up, Im sure Morrison is aware of his readers confusion during Bruce's death. I also just wanted to say my idea would have been better. I wish the Majority of R.I.P would have existed in Bruce's head because of the machine he was strapped up to in Final Crisis. Thats the way I thought it was happening when I was reading it. He's going crazy and seeing stuff because of the machine but instead it was supposed to represent the death of his physical body or just the breaking down so Darkseid could finish him off. It just seems off when your reading the end of Batman R.I.P thinking, "oh man, Batmans dead" but then see him completely fine in Final Crisis. I'll try it out either way, I guess this is Morrison's chance to clear things up.

I have to say, my favorite and the one I'm most looking forward to seeing in color, is Puritan Batman! I love that the buckle on the hat is bent to resemble a bat

I'm liking all of it.  And I really can't wait to read it.  As soon as I found out about this, I put in on my pull list at my LCS. 
Bruce Wayne will always be Batman to me.

If it was anyone else I wouldn't be in favour of this but while it's Bruce Wayne I'll stay optimistic. He does look cool too so it's a good start.

Too bad he's not doing the interiors as well, I'm not very excited about the upcoming artists for the first two issues

I'm with innervenom, this seems really dumb. If Bruce was traveling through time, then that's fine. But going through time dressed like that, it just seems stupid. Also wouldn't at least one member of the Batfamily find it strange that there was a bunch of Batmen centuries before Bruce.

ahem,  i have a strong feelin' DC is gunna "steve rogers" bruce wayne upon his return...  i.e. put him in some position of power so he doesnt need to be out in the streets bangin' heads as batman...  i think this is the status quo for the forseeable future...  bruce wayne as head of assassins guild?  mayor of gotham??  president of the US???  director of SHIELD...  um, CADMUS?  :/

If you want to prove Batman is the greatest of all time he's got to go back in time and prove it.  I like the idea.  I have a feeling Kubert's covers aren't ripped from the pages.  The issue is about Bruce in frontier days so we get a cowboy/batman on the cover.  If the covers were really so indicitive of the story I don't think DC would be revealing 4 of them before the thing even starts.
