Valiant announced today that issue #25 of their hit series X-O MANOWAR is going to be a big one. Coming in May, this 48 page issue of X-O MANOWAR promises to be a great stand-alone issue as well as a jumping on point for new readers as the team of Robert Venditti and J.G. Awesome. This has been a consistently good book over the past two years.

If someone told me a few years ago that Valiant would be come one of the best comic publishers out there I would have said "Who?" but that's totally what has happened.

@jonny_anonymous: Yeah it's pretty amazing how far they come in 2 years. Valiant has a lot of potential.

I was prepared to scream and rant about why they are doing a super sized issue to retell the origin. I was expecting this to be at least an $8 book. Now that I've read the article and seen it's only $5, I'm down with it, though I'm not sure why it's necessary to retell the origin, but at least there seems to be more to it. I am really excited for the Armor Hunters arc though.
