Teasers aren't new for comic books. We see them often. Publishers like to tease and I think readers enjoy to be teased. If you've been reading Valiant Comics, you know the publisher is on a roll. They are putting out great comic after great comic. Now it appears they have another one coming. Only they're not announcing it just yet.

We have about a week to speculate. What do think this could be? A relaunch of a previously existing series or coud it possibly be something new?

It's Quantum and Woody. The World's Worst Superhero Team was their moniker with the logo. That team has also been the most requested from fans of Valiant.

Seriously? I haven't read it myself, but by most accounts it's supposed to be a pretty good book. Why so bitter?

Well, considering all of their titles receive consistent critical acclaim... they kinda are. Granted, it's not a fair comparison since DC, Marvel and others publish much more titles than Valiant does, but it's fairly sound.

I'd prefer a Ninjak solo, but who knows? This could be fun.

Quantum and Woody was a Christopher Priest book? I might give this particular relaunch a chance!

I agree with Valiant's claim of "The World's Greatest Comic Book Company" cause to this day, not a single title released from Valiant's relaunch has disappointed me unlike DC & Marvel, which have mostly been hit & miss... but definitely looking forward to this new release

Same, but I also read some of the old Quantum and Woody series and I liked it a lot. Quantum is probably more original, anyways.

@Boumei: Were you a Valiant fan in the 90s? It was annoying because many retailers jacked the prices up on them almost the few days after the issues came out. Check Wizard magazine price guides from that time, they almost always had Valiant comics in their top 10 hot issues to watch. I never thought to ask my LCS to create a pull list for me so I'll admit there were some sour grapes.

let's see, maybe it's marvel or DC cause it's spelled as V-A-L-I-A-N-T? That's only a marketing strategy, don't take it seriously.

You're missing out. Seriously.

Harbinger and Shadowman have been excellent, and although I'm not a fan of the genre and don't read X-O Manowar...its gotten pretty amazing reviews. Archer and Armstrong is also a fun read.

@captain_oblivious: actually I wasn't, I sort of took a break from comics in the 90s... I did buy a few comics here & there but there was just too much being thrown at us during the 90s, some good stuff and some crappy stuff, so when I first heard of the Valiant relaunch, I decided to check it out and it's been great so far

@Loki2u: I might have to check out some of the trades. I know that people here have been raving about the line since they relaunched/rebooted the thing not too long ago.

Hmm, some Googling shows that a bunch of these trades are pretty inexpensive. It makes sense since a lot of them are only four issues or so long, but say I wanted to buy two of the volume ones that are either out now or will be out shortly. Which ones would you guys recommend?

The series that are out, so far as I can tell, are: Shadowman, Archer and Armstrong, Harbinger, Bloodshot, and X-O Manowar.
