Valiant has been killing it lately with the relaunches of their titles. As we've been sitting around wondering what title would be next and who would be working on it, now we know.

Valiant has announced the return of QUANTUM AND WOODY!

No Caption Provided

On July 10th, a new era for the world's worst superhero team begins in QUANTUM AND WOODY #1. The series will be written by James Asmus (GAMBIT, THIEF OF THIEVES, CAPTAIN AMERICA AND BUCKY) and drawn by [Awesome Art Picks regular] Tom Fowler (VENOM, HULK: SEASON ONE).

Once upon a time, Eric and Woody Henderson were inseparable. Adopted brothers. Best friends. Brilliant minds. Years later, they are estranged siblings, petty rivals, and washed-up failures. But when their father’s murder leads them into the throes of a life-altering scientific accident, Eric and Woody will find themselves with a whole new purpose – and a perfectly legitimate reason to wear costumes and fight crime. Go big or go home, folks! Quantum and Woody are coming! And the action-packed, zeitgeist-shredding exploitation stunt comic you demanded is here at last.

(And, yes, there will be a goat too. Eventually.)

Jordie Bellaire will also be the colorist and there will be a standard cover by Ryan Sook (seen above) and a Pullbox Exclusive Variant by Marcos Martin for customers who pre-order with their local retailer as well as a variant by Andrew Robinson and an interactive QR Voice Variant by Tom Folwer (with real talking goat action).

For more information of Quantum and Woody and the rest of the Valiant Universe, visit Valiant on Facebook, on Twitter, and at ValiantUniverse.com.

I love that Vincent van Goat is chewing on a copy of "Quantum & Woody #1". This is going to be another interesting Valiant title to keep an eye on.

Quantum and Woody were the only decent second generation Valiant properties IMO. Valiant should buy the Broadway and Defiant properties and have themselves a proper Shooterverse. It was the Jim Shooter editorial pimp-hand that made those Original Valiant books so high quality the new valiant owners know this and are following his example which is why these books are so good. They should just get Jim Shooter himself and get him to write stuff.

Shooter creates good universes.

I wonder how this will compare to Archer and Armstrong? I'm surprised Valiant went with this so soon as they already have a buddy book in A&A. Still definitely checking out #1 and WAITING FOR A NINJAK SERIES!
