Top Cow is getting ready to unleash Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer #1, the first of a six issue mini-series.  The two teams will be facing off against each other.  This follows the current events in Fusion which saw Cyberforce and Hunter-Killer going up against Marvel's Mighty Avengers and Thunderbolts.

The comic is written by Mark Waid, who created Hunter-Killer with Top Cow founder, Marc Silverstri.  The art will be by Kenneth Rocafort (Madame Mirage, Astonishing Tales).  Mark Waid has spoken about why pairing these two teams work well.
The Hunter-Killers are all about distrust of the government and Cyberforce is all about the distrust of mega-corporations, and if there’s a more appropriate time in our history to address both issues, I can’t think of it.

Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer #1 will have two connected covers by Rocafort that will display a showdown between the two teams  when placed side-by-side (see image above).  A third variant cover by Mike Choi and Sonia Oback (seen to the left) will also be available.  Each issue will have a $2.99 cover price as Top Cow has pledged to remain $2.99 in 2009.  Issue #1 will be in stores on July 22, 2009.

What can I say ? I was a Cyberforce fan back in the days...
It's just a shame they never could a long-term good story of it. And I'm afraid they'do the same thing than with Stryke force and cyberforce....

Looking forward to some more Hunter-Killer. Maybe get a couple more steamy scenes between Wolf and Samantha.

Don't care too much for Cyberforce, but that Strykeforce series back in 2004 by Faerber & Kirkham was great. I wish there had been more stories with those characters.

Kenneth Rocafort is amazing.  People should check out his work on Madame Mirage (written by Paul Dini).

Well I only saw the cover art for the MM series, but he does look really talented. He sorta reminds me a little of Michael Turner at times, especially in the Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer preview art.
