So I have to ask a dumb question here. You're all comparing this new armor to the Red Hood look because the masks look somewhat similar.......which incidentally they don't look similar but if you can't see detail differences than the rest of this post will be lost on you......yet the entire rest of the new Spider-Man armor looks absolutely nothing like Red Hood. So basically you're comparing two characters based on around 10% of the total character design and of that 10% about 50% of the design details are completely different. So how exactly is Marvel copying from DC in any way?????
With that said I do think Dan Slott is being an idiot with this costume. He just got done showing us that Peter is capable of designing and building a stealth/sonic-proof costume and an armor costume that are basically the same design and relative thickness, shape, flexibility of his normal costume and yet for this next big arc he's going to be putting him in this exoskeleton-esque design. WTF??? I get the fact that this armor is supposed to be a counter to all the abilities of the Sinister Six but given the level of technology and design we've already seen put into a spider suit I think the bulky look was the wrong way to go. I'm also curious how the boots are supposed to work since Peter can't use his wall crawling ability through normal shoes (or was that retconned.....I wasn't paying too much attention to people's feet during Spider Island).
not like red hood at all and i love red hood. i would say theyre copying venom's look. if you colorized flash's venom suit, but who cares. its not gunna last and it looks awesome.

That's what I was thinking. If Spidey needs armor though, why not use that spider armor he recently wore when he lost his Spider Sense? That armor looked too sweet.
I don't think it'll be Pete in that armor. I'm thinking this is Eddie Brock now depowered after spider-island or Ben Reilly, but the most logical one to me is Kane seeing how the color scheme is so similar to the Scarlet-spider costume we saw. If it's Peter in there I hope that doesn't last long cause I don't like this suit one bit
I bought my 9 year old nephew a "Ninja" Spiderman figure from the current figure line for Christmas. It looked just like that. I wonder if it will have the sword and web bolo thing too?
I think is peter. look the pattern inside the jacket.... is regular spidey costume web design. if it was someone else i dont think they put that there.
Hmm...other then looking like Red Hood it's more armored then Spidey's other outfits. It actually reminds me of Eugene as Venom. Maybe he loses Venom and Peter helps him out?
I actually like the costume. Sure isn't the traditional Spider-Man style but that suit is definitely the work of a genius right there. I wonder what it's capable of.
