If you've been enjoying what Kathryn Immonen has been doing on JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, and you have been excited about the series so far, you'll definitely dig the latest teaser.

Earlier today, Marvel unveiled a "ravenous" teaser that featured Sif, Thor and a few other recognizable faces in the silhouette of a big cat. The series heats up this April, 2013 when Immonen is joined by Matteo Scalera and will feature a whole slew of Asgardians. Will you be picking up this series?

I think that the silhouette of a wolf, not a cat

I've been enjoying the hell out of this series. It's gorgeous.

"the series returns this April, 2013"

Is Journey Into Mystery going on hiatus? I thought this teaser was just emphasizing Matteo Scalera as the new artist on the next arc, if not longer.

Fenrir.

A son of Loki. Huge potential spoilers ahead if I go any more into his mythology.

I agree. Looks more wolf like than cat like. Fenrir is the best bet. And Immomen's really rising up in the Marvel ranks. I wonder when the Gail Simone comparisons will start...

What they said. Fenris Wolf FTW.

I too would say it's a wolf, seeing as it has to do with norse mythology. Sure, we do have bobcats up here but they aren't as connected to our "old ways" (if you will) as wolves are. With that said, I do think the snout is too short to belong to a wolf.

I'll add that this teaser is one of the better ones, that has recently been released, in my opinion.

It's obviously Fenrir. For some reason I'm seeing werewolves coming into play here. Hmm, maybe Fenrir is responsible for werewolves? That'd be pretty awesome!!!

@Mutant God: I think it's Volstagg's wife forgot her name

@Smart_Dork_Dude: that would be cool

anyone else think Hildy should be the next young Asgardian on the scene? she could be trained as a shield maiden and then ppl wouldnt have to debate on if Thunderstrike or Thor-girl should join YA

Probably because April is, financially speaking, the start of the 2nd quarter. Got to keep the shareholders happy.

Just a message to all the doubters....Journey Into Mystery is GOOD, even after the change from Loki to Siff. Believe me, Im not easily sold, and especially on a character I didnt know, but its awesome! Good story, fun, amazing art..

So if you doubt it...Do so no Longer, BUY IT and see how you like it! :)

Not really, this is comicvine. People can easily look him up. Besides, he's been in the comics many, many times. People know the legends

That would be very insulting towards Kathryn.

But yeah, I've been enjoying Journey Into Mystery a hell of a lot. Sad to see the current artist go, though, he(?)'s fantastic.

at one point he claims all wolves are descended from him but that seems a little far fetched.

Could be, but I doubt it. It would make to much sense to use real characters from Norse mythology instead of making up silly ones like "the Serpent." Honestly though, they do Ragnarok too much anyway.

Beyond that, I don't like the cover art. The character designs look alright but the feline/canine silhouette is...not ugly....just poorly designed I think. JMO.
