WOLVERINE #1

(W) Paul Cornell (A/CA) Ryan Stegman

WOLVERINE NO MORE?

After the events of KILLABLE, Wolverine has something to prove. Before he can take on Sabretooth again, he'll need to build himself back up, get better and stronger than he's ever been...but it's not as easy as he thought, and he'll soon find himself turning to other means of revenge when the normal channels don't seem to be working fast enough. Can he fight back his demons, or is this the beginning of a Wolverine who's gone to the dark side?

I'm somewhat excited for this series. I wonder what new and exciting stories we can get out of this.

So they repeated the Deadpool storyline about losing his regenerative ability but with their other cashcow?

So what was the big thing that's going to annoy everyone?

Ok why is his claws now in his wrists instead of his hands?

Is it just me or does Logan look a little bit too fat in the new costume?

And I dunno why I'm craving sushi now?

Ok why is his claws now in his wrists instead of his hands?

His claws cut open his hands every time he pops 'em out. Usually, this isn't a problem, because his healing factor seals the wounds immediately. WITHOUT the healing factor, and with his pain threshold reset to zero, it's an immensely painful, bloody, debilitating process. Still, it's the fighting style he's used to, so he uses an artificial surrogate to get around his new weakness.

I love the new suit.

@sovereign91001: The costume itself is pretty sweet, but the glove gauntlets are kind of odd.

I'm glad that there's an explanation for the new costume because otherwise eh. Still, I prefer the "hooded future wolverine" design over this.

I'm a huge Wolverine fan, honest... but, can't Marvel just stop already? I can't believe people even buy this stuff. The least Marvel could do is charge $2.99 for these crappy second-rate Wolverine stories. Get some classic trades from your local library if you need a fix.

so... does he still counts as a mutant?

Can it be? Is it really true? No, seriously after all this years a WELL written Wolverine... please let it be, I love the character so much, while neither my favorite X-Men or superhero (marvel character either) he's awesome and I love his 90's stories, its just that last decade were... well, bleh.
