• Not so long ago, Nightcrawler was dead.

• Now, with a second lease on life, Nightcrawler struggles to find his place back in the land of the living.

I was really hoping Marvel would have gotten a confident creative team before this story happened so that it could have actually been good.

@teerack: for modern day claremont, i don't think it's too egregious. And the art is pretty decent.

Eh. I'm pretty sure Claremont will do this particular issue justice do to the nature of it.

@koays: Eh everything about this run just seems like the writer hasn't read an X-Men comic past 1988.

@teerack: Lol that would explain some of his other later runs. But I figure if he has to write an issue highlighting the loss of relationship that he created he'll do better.

@koays: It will probably just emphasize just how poorly characterized and dated he writers things.

Disagree. Based on the preview, he's spot on.

He made the X-Men a bonafide family back in the 80's and part of the 90's. They haven't had that "family" feel for a while now.

Times change, but not always for the better. I agree, he needs to work harder to include the new along with the old.

However, if I had to critique him, it would be the lack of that old magic more so than anything else. Probably due to continuity restrictions and editorial probabtions placed on his creative bent more than anything else.
